Job description
Welder II will be qualified on all processes and in all positions for the different processes and on a vast array of material including P1, P8, P10H and nickel alloys. Master welder will be capable and willing to perform all task, without backlash, and in a timely manner, including welding root passes, back gouging, cleanup of back gouge roots, tube to tube joints, tube to tube sheet joints not including QW-193, structural welds, and other pressure retaining welds used in the fabrication of equipment for our customers. Welder II MUST be able to interpret and follow welding procedures.
Responsibilities:
Select and safely use appropriate equipment suitable for work being performed.
Perform all tasks related to welding.
Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and properly stored or kept.
Communicate with leadership all aspects and phases (safety, productivity, and quality) of work.
Check completed work prior to final welding to ensure conformity to specifications.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices
Must be able to adhere to standards and perform a quality job in a safe manner within an acceptable time.
Physical requirements include Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, and reaching, standing for long periods of time, lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to work at heights up to 25 feet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Monitors, operates, and performs routine inspections on station air systems, fuel systems, cooling water systems, oil systems, and safety systems.
Assist with resourcing replacement parts.
Coordinate planning necessary to perform repairs (Develop procedures & LOTO)
Document maintenance work/activities in Company approved software - (Maximo)
Contribute to on-call rotation ensuring timely response.
Collaborate with the Area Supervisor, other Electrical Controls Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, and other partners to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance work efficiently and effectively.
Maintain facility records and update drawings as required.
Maintain critical spare part inventories to minimize downtime.
Ensure that electrical maintenance work is performed in compliance with regulations and Company O&M procedure requirements.
Resource and oversee contractor crews when required.
Perform emergency response / first responder duties.
Maintain all Operator Qualifications OQ's and technical competencies to perform major maintenance, repair and/or replacement of complex electrical equipment within the facilities.
Assist project teams: design reviews, hazard assessments, pre-bid tours, pre-construction meetings, electrical equipment installation, and equipment commissioning.
Maintain Company assigned vehicle with commuting privileges.
Work with significant independence on standard assignments.
Consistently complete task/assignment in accordance with the Enbridge Safety policy and procedures
Develop deep understanding and knowledge of complex equipment and procedures.
Serve as a backup Electrical Controls Technicians at other locations on an as needed basis.
Assess and ensure work conditions are established to perform work safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Who you are:
You have:
2-4 years of electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial setting OR the equivalent experience necessary to perform required tasks of Technician Level 2 on a standalone basis
An associate's degree in a relevant technical field, such as, Electrical/Controls, Electrical Engineering or Controls Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field or equivalent/education and/or experience
You can:
Show that you reside or are willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned location
You are:
Competent in NFPE 70E Code & Arc Flash Safety and are willing to work overtime, weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight

Performs sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories and barge inspections including line condition surveys. Performs vessel inspections under the direct supervision of a Senior Inspector. Certifies that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures as well as job specific instructions supplied by the Operations Department. Minimum Requirements
Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills and a minimum three months of inspection experience.
Must complete Inspector level training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations.
Must have or obtain IFIA certification after gaining at least six months of industry experience.
Must maintain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC). Possess and maintain a vehicle in good working order, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and registration.
