This will include inside and outside sales calls on customers in your assigned territory. * Assist customers in selecting/ordering trucks and components which best suit their business needs. * Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of heavy-duty vehicles. * Actively find new and existing prospects outside of the dealership. * Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers. * Provide excellent service to walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days. * Deliver new trucks and be able to explain new-truck warranty and service policies. * Study truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application on a continuous basis. * Appraise used trucks as needed. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. * Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, clients, customers and the general public. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. * Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. * Additional duties as assigned.
