2008

In January 2008, Travel Acquisitions Group (TAG), led by Michael Batt, is created through a management-led buyout of Carlson Leisure Group from Minneapolis-based Carlson Companies.

2009

TAG announces the creation of Travel Leaders Corporate, a new business travel division, in February 2009.

Travel Leaders Group announces acquisition of Vacation.com—North America’s largest vacation and cruise selling network—from Amadeus Americas, Inc. in December 2009.

2012

In October of 2012, Travel Leaders Group launches Agent Profiler to connect travelers to ideal travel advisors via TravelLeaders.com.

2013

The following year, Travel Leaders Group unveils new luxury hotel program, SELECT Hotels & Resorts, in May of 2013.

2015

Travel Leaders Group wholly-owned operations reported annual sales volume totals in excess of $4 billion for 2015; when franchised and affiliated sales are included, that number increases dramatically to approximately $21 billion.

2016

Ninan Chacko, CTC, becomes CEO of Travel Leaders Group in 2016.

In 2016, for the eighth year in a row, Travel Leaders Group was the highest ranking travel management company in Business Travel News' annual compendium.

Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 2016 listing named a Travel Leaders Franchise Group brand as the top travel franchise brand for the 21st consecutive year.

Travel Weekly's illustrious awards honor "The Best in the Travel Industry." Travel Weekly awarded Travel Leaders Network with three prestigious Magellan Awards in 2016.

2017

In May 2017, Travel Leaders Group acquires Corporate Travel Services of Mexico and launches game-changing website and influential travel brand Vacation.

Travel Leaders Group merges with industry powerhouse ALTOUR in July and adds Travel Management Partners to its corporate portfolio in September 2017.

2018

Travel Leaders Group declares 2018 “The Year of the Travel Agent” and acquires Barrhead Travel Group, one of the largest retail travel companies in the United Kingdom that February.

2019

In January 2019, Travel Leaders Group acquires YES (Your Event Solutions).

2020

In January 2020, J.D. O’Hara becomes CEO of Travel Leaders Group.

In May 2020, Travel Leaders Group rebrands as Internova Travel Group.

2022
