    The Travel Coordinator position is responsible for providing professional and friendly customer services while booking various travel arrangements for multiple clients within company guidelines and standards for excellent customer service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with NMS' mission, vision, and values. This is a remote, work from home, position supporting travel coordination for the SLB East Camp for NMS Camps Services. Must reside in Anchorage, AK. Work schedule 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities * Coordinate travel arrangements for multiple clients in client-based booking system. * Manage traveler profiles to ensure accurate and up to date information is maintained. * Manage flight-related emails daily. * Demonstrates exceptional proficiency with creating and maintaining master journey schedules and rotations. * Process frequent flight changes and ensure same day billeting updates. * Review travel to verify it meets requirements. Coordinate with client representative as needed. * Performs necessary research for troubleshooting, tracking and resolving issues. * Follows procedures, guidelines, and standards in areas of customer service, productivity, punctuality, attendance, accuracy, invoicing, etc. * Participates fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client, including booking flights and camp accommodations, clerical functions, etc. * Keeps client and immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action. * Maintains a favorable working relationship with other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness. * Accurately utilizes complex software applications with high attention to detail to ensure correct information is documented. * Ability to work independently. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success may also be assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * A minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience as a travel planner and/or travel coordinator booking travel for 200+ travelers. * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to operate in a climate of confidentiality requiring professionalism and discretion. * Ability to effectively operate general office equipment, PC's and type at least 45 words per minute. * Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test. Applicants not located near a testing facility are responsible for paying for travel to the nearest testing facility. * Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. * Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.
