Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children, and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.
Position Summary:
This position will operate and maintain the Traveling Trunk, CMFCAA'S new mobile clothing closet. This includes routine operation while deployed in CMFCAA's 24 counties, as well as maintaining the closet's inventory and conducting vehicle/trailer upkeep.
This position will include routine travel (2-3 days a week using a company vehicle) and interaction with families and fellow resource providers across 24 counties. Both the Traveling Trunk Supervisor and Specialist will need to be confident and comfortable with hauling a 40-foot, fifth-wheel trailer for long distances and on rural roads.
Essential Functions/Job Expectations:
Operate the Traveling Trunk, including driving the trailer to location, setting up for public access, assisting shoppers, registering new clients, and explaining CMFCAA services to the public
Trunk operation also includes retail/sales responsibilities, such as assisting clients with finding merchandise, checkout, and routine cleaning
Maintain Trunk inventory, including restocking and processing donations
Process donations in coordination with Direct Services, including assisting with sorting, washing, hanging, and folding clothing
Collaborate with other CMFCAA programs, particularly Direct Services, to ensure standardization of all clothing closet practices, coordination and communication of inventory, etc.
Assist Traveling Trunk Supervisor in scheduling Traveling Trunk locations and coordinating with non-profit partners
