JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care and is responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care though assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. Craycroft is a 36-bed, acute care unit, caring for patients with potentially immuno-compromised conditions. This includes hematology, oncology, nephrology, rheumatology, and endocrinology patients.
REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); D) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.
Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; and 2) Pediatric Emergency Assess, Resuscitation & Stabilization within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

As an ER TravelNurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.
Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as an ER TravelNurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have, obtaining patient vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being.
As an ER TravelNurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Clean and bandage wounds.
Provide IV therapy.
Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
ER TravelNurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Duties Responsibilities
Pediatric nurse (RN) specializes in providing age-appropriate care for children or adolescents with a variety of physical and mental disabilities and/or acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions.
Provide comprehensive, age-appropriate care to patients aged approximately 30 days to 18 years.
Document the patient's symptoms and medical history and provide bedside nursing care to children on the floor. Draw blood, administer medication and give childhood vaccinations.
Assist pediatrician during a patient examination.
