Emerald Health Services is hiring a Travel RN - CVICU 48's

Shift: Variable D/N (12x4) 48 hours per week, will accept 36 hours
Length: 13 weeks
All travelers are required to be flexible to rotate shifts and float as needed.
Rotating is not within the same week, usually every few weeks.

Requirements:
  • DC License
  • 2 years experience
  • PEDs experience is a hard requirement
  • Critical care units require RNs to float between other critical care units. (PICU,CICU, NICU)
  • BLS
Required + Booster - No Exemptions, Current Booster
CICU RN
-COVID VACCINATION REQUIRED - NO EXEMPTIONS
Option for 36 or 48 hours
Please be sure all travelers are required to be flexible to rotate shifts and float as needed.
Rotating is not within the same week, usually every few weeks.
PEDs experience is a hard requirement, absolutely no BG/license hits. This is a non-smoking facility. No exemptions accepted.
Critical care units require RNs to float between other critical care units. (PICU,CICU, NICU)
Modules are not billable and required to be completed within the first week of the assignment.
Missed shifts due to call outs are required to be made up on the back end of the contract, extra days will be added.
FDI will be sent direct to the traveler from the client, this does not mean the traveler is cleared to start. Must seek clearance prior to reporting for first day.
Please ensure your traveler has DC licensure in hand at time of submittal. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

SUMMARY: The Traveling Wound Nurse is responsible for providing primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervisor of the residents' attending physician, the Director of Nursing, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Flexibility to travel within a 90-minutes of the city

+ Travel a few times a week and up to daily with some flexibility available.

+ This is a permanent role with full benefits, vacation, paid holidays.

+ Confer with the Director of Nursing and/or other licensed nursing personnel regarding the dermatologic disorders of residents in the facility

+ Examine the resident and his/her records and charts, and discriminate between normal and abnormal findings, in order to recognize when to refer the resident to a physician for evaluation, supervision, or directions

+ Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents. Perform an assessment evaluation using techniques including observation, inspection, and palpation

+ Initiate requests for consultation or referral. Respond to requests from the resident, physician, or nursing staff

+ Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions, such as skin abrasions, foot problems such as corns and callouses, decubitus ulcers, bacterial, parasitic and viral skin infections, scaling popular diseases, and benign tumors

+ Assist in resident rehabilitation activities. Where require, perform range of motion, assist in ambulation, provide emotional support. Monitor the results of physical therapy activities.

+ Provide preventative health care services. Make recommendations to the resident concerning nutrition, prevention of common skin disorders, etc

+ Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the attending physician, Medical Director, or the DON concerning the status and care of the residents

+ Implement and maintain established policies and procedures relative to sk RN/LPNin care treatments. Interpret these to the physician, resident family members, and public as appropriate

+ Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· LPN/RN with current unencumbered state licensure.

· Wound Certification from accredited institution preferred.

· Must have current CPR certification.

· Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience as an LPN/RN
