Coordinates a team-based care strategy incorporating all agencies involved in assisting the victim and coordinate referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up as needed for each patient. Performs a complete physical and forensic evidence collection examination including Head-to-Toe assessment for trauma, detailed genital examination, forensic specimen collection and documentation, including photography, and assess for mandatory reporting status, reporting when appropriate. Performs and documents sexual assault and forensic interview accurately and in accordance with the Forensic Nursing Program requirements. Supports and participates in legal proceedings as needed. Participates in quality assurance projects, community education, peer review and maintain medication test annually. Debriefs as needed to maintain staff emotional and physical wellness. Performs all forensic duties in compliance with Forensic Nursing Program protocols and regulations. Desired Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
