We are seeking a Director of Architecture - Operational Technology (OT) Solutions to lead the architectural design and delivery of Operational Technology (OT) solutions in the utility sector, including electric, gas, and water utilities. This role is responsible for defining end-to-end OT solution architecture, aligning with enterprise IT/OT strategies, and overseeing delivery across complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-workstream programs involving SCADA, ADMS, DERMS, AMI, EMS, and other critical infrastructure systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in OT/IT convergence, digital grid modernization, and cybersecurity, and is capable of engaging with executive stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies to drive transformational outcomes.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
* Define and evolve OT architecture frameworks aligned to business goals, regulatory compliance, and security requirements.
* Lead architectural design for large-scale OT systems (SCADA, ADMS, EMS, DMS, OMS, AMI, DERMS, etc.).
* Ensure interoperability across IT and OT systems, including data integration, edge computing, and network design.
* Provide architectural leadership on utility grid modernization, distributed energy integration, and automation initiatives.
* Support raising TRC's profile as an industry leader in operational technologies and innovative solutioning by creating marketing artifacts, writing industry facing articles/blogs, or presenting at conferences.
Program & Solution Delivery
* Act as the technical authority across delivery teams, ensuring alignment with architecture vision and standards.
* Lead solution design reviews, validate technical feasibility, and oversee implementation across multiple concurrent OT projects.
* Engage with utility operational teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and supportable solutions.
* Drive vendor and technology selection and manage partnerships with system integrators and OEMs.
* Lead efforts to develop and evangelize innovative solutions that bring the best of emerging and new technologies to our clients and TRC's core offerings.
Supporting/Driving Commercial and Go to Market Activities
* Support and drive client engagement to develop new business opportunities for TRC.
* Support sales team with establishing and enhancing client relationships through direct support on calls, site visits, and thought leadership on complex technical discussions.
* Lead and support proposal responses driving solution and technical approach, writing content for key technical and business solution sections, and supporting commercial sizing and work estimates.
* Support staffing efforts and strategic hiring by attracting talent and former colleagues to TRC.
Leadership & Governance
* Serve as a thought leader and advisor to utility executives and senior management.
* Establish and enforce OT architecture governance processes and best practices.
* Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and delivery teams on OT architecture standards and methods.
* Lead and manage team of Operational Technology (OT) Architects
Cybersecurity & Compliance
* Ensure solutions meet or exceed NERC CIP, IEC 61850, and other regulatory/cybersecurity standards.
* Partner with cybersecurity teams to conduct risk assessments and define controls for OT environments.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
* 14+ years of experience in OT/IT architecture and delivery within the utility or energy sector.
* Deep technical knowledge of utility OT platforms such as SCADA, EMS, ADMS, OMS, AMI, and DERMS.
* Proven expertise in systems integration, network architecture, real-time data platforms, and protocols (e.g., DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus).
* Experience with cloud, edge, and hybrid OT architectures.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (NIST, NERC CIP) and resilience planning for critical infrastructure.
* Strong vendor and stakeholder management experience, including RFPs, solution evaluations, and contract oversight.

Responsibilities
The Senior GIS Analyst directs the work of GIS Analysts and Technicians on assigned projects. Responsibilities extend beyond data management and analysis and include project task planning and coordination for complex and large-scale projects. Overview
The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) manages large projects and proposals of high risk and significant complexity for the Power Delivery, Field Services, Construction Management and System Studies practices in the Energy Sector. The Sr.PM manages assigned projects from the proposal stage through project completion. Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business or Construction Management from an accredited school or University is required. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is required

* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with internal/external clients.

TRC is seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager for our Austin, TX, Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX or Arlington, TX office.
The successful candidate will be a member of TRC's expanding Infrastructure Geotechnical Engineering Group, currently having team members in Mount Laurel, NJ, Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Scott Depot, WV and Manassas, VA offices. In addition to the geotechnical engineering team, TRC also has a full-service drilling division, an ASTM/AASHTO accredited soil mechanics and rock testing laboratory, a PDA testing and vibration monitoring component, and a commercial construction inspection division, all of whom work together to provide high-quality and cost-effective geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of project applications. Typical projects include highways, bridges, industrial processing facilities, municipal capital improvements, dams and levees, power generation and transmission projects, low to high-rise residential developments and office complexes, multi-story parking facilities, solar and wind renewable energy. Currently, our service area is primarily located within northeastern, southeast, and lower midwestern states, with rapidly growing needs for support in western and southwestern states and other regions of the US.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities will include assisting with Client development, proposal preparation, the planning and execution of exploration, analysis, design, reporting, and preparation of specifications for geotechnical projects. Specialized experience regarding site investigation programs, design and in-situ testing of shallow and deep foundations, soil and rock slope stability evaluations, design of retaining walls and reinforced soil slopes, and settlement/expansive soil evaluation and mitigation measures is key. Training will be provided for all aspects of the job responsibilities.

TRC is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer to join the Engineering, Construction, and Remediation team in our Austin, Texas office. The position requires a strong technical background and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships.
This position will act as project engineer on remediation, compliance, and construction projects. The position may include site assessment and investigation; project management; design, installation, and operation and maintenance of remediation systems; development and certification of SPCC plans; development of SWPPPs; field inspections; storm water permit compliance; municipal storm water ordinance compliance; and technical reporting. Additionally, TRC is seeking someone with experience in hazardous materials and waste management, due diligence, and industrial wastewater. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas is required.

Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting.

About the work:
Our projects involve a considerable amount of overnight travel, generally in the United States, including Guam and Hawaii. The field-testing portion of each project typically lasts from 1 to 5 days, and the test teams are generally home on the weekends, but some projects may require working or traveling on a weekend. The number of people needed in the field and the number of days in the field varies with each project and changes from week to week. Expect 75% of the weeks to involve field work with overnight stays.
During testing, the Environmental Technician / Scientist will be at the location recording data, operating equipment, or working in the trailer recovering samples, performing analysis, etc. When not in the field, duties may include equipment calibrations and repairs, prep and packing for future projects, data reduction and processing, report writing, lab work, and tasks of that nature.
The Environmental Technician / Scientist will become proficient in the various USEPA sampling methods and develop knowledge about many types of industrial processes. What it takes to start the journey:
