LSSI is seeking a full-time Residential Treatment Specialist. Under the general supervision of the program manager and director or designee, provide counseling and case management services to mentally ill adults in a group home setting in order to promote recovery and independent living skills.

Essential Functions:
Execute case management services in the community and at the group home for a caseload of 8-11 clients. Monitor group home milieu, provide skills training and crisis intervention to clients as needed. Complete HUD housing Report. Complete IMCANS recertification. Achieve mastery of carelogic EHR system. Maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative documentation within accreditation and licensure standards. Facilitate the maintenance of safe, secure and sanitary GH milieu according to house/program rules and governmental standards. Provide shift coverage across 3 group homes as needed. Meet daily billing/productivity expectations and complete documentation in a timely manner.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors in human/social services or psychology preferred. Must have good written and oral communication skills and proficiency in English language. Must have valid driver’s license and access to insured vehicles. Basic technology proficiency required (e-mail, phone, word documents). Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts.

Liberty Resources treatment specialist job description

Liberty Resources is seeking a per diem master's or bachelor's level individual to provide Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST) under the CFTSS model to youth 5-21 living in Onondaga or Oswego County. CPST includes time-limited goal-directed and solution-focused interventions intended to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in an individual's Treatment Plan. CPST is designed to be provided in the youth's natural environment within the community, such as the home, school, other community locations, or via tele-health services. The CPST Specialist will operate on a fee for service model and have the flexibility to build their caseload and schedule as they see fit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist youth with identifying strategies and practicing strategies to address the mental health and/or substance use needs using evidence-based and best practice techniques.
  • Provide supportive counseling to youth and their family using solution focused interventions, emotional and behavioral management, and problem behavior analysis to restore stability, to support functional gains, and to adapt to community living.
  • Facilitate participation in and utilization of strengths-based planning and treatments which includes assisting youth and family members with identifying strengths and needs, and developing goals and objectives to utilize personal strengths resources and natural supports to address functional deficits.
  • Assist youth with effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors or triggers and developing a crisis management plan.
  • Build relationships and collaborates with clinical treatment providers, care coordinators, and other supports to determine continuation of care and makes recommendations for modifications to an individual's Plan of Care.

Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in social work, psychology or in related human services, plus one year of applicable experience or who have been certified in an Evidenced Based Practice (in lieu of one year experience requirement). These practitioners may also include: Registered Professional Nurses with one year of behavioral health experience, Licensed Occupational Therapists, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapists to the extent they are operating under the scope of their license.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid New York State driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
