Maintains competency in specimen collection, Performs Reasonable Suspicion Drug and Alcohol Testing (Fit for Duty), following chain-of-custody protocols for various specimen types (urine, saliva, hair, breath and blood). * Assist nursing staff and Providers to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all patients. * Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information. * Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements. * Demonstrates/models the Network's PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers. * Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety. * Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices. * Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code. * Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated. * Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sit up to 2 hours per day; 1 hour at a time. Stand for up to 8 hours per day; 6 hours at a time. Walk up to 6 hours per day; 10 minutes at a time. Consistently lift, carry, and push objects up to 10 lb. Transport patients weighing up to 250 lb. via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher. Frequently stoop and bend and reach above shoulder level. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation and high/low frequencies. Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
