Perform various activities related to urban forestry/arboriculture on private and commercial properties

To include tasks such as tree diagnostics, climbing, pruning, removal, stump grinding, cabling, stumping, fertilizing, and planting

To operate and perform maintenance on specialized equipment including brush chipper, stump grinder, and chainsaws in a safe and efficient manner
Heavy lifting required Hourly pay-scale is between $18.00 - $25.00


Assets/Skills/Education Required:
Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Urban Forestry or similar courses from a recognized institute A certified arborist is preferred Minimum of Two (2) years climbing experience Competent in all tree climbing skills, including assessing safety hazards, tying in, rigging limbs down safely Responsible with strong work ethics Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills Outstanding communication and client relations skills Attention to detail and quality work CPR/First Aid an asset Transportation to yard required Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle record. What a day is like as a Crew Leader:

Daily focus is working together on a General Tree Care crew to provide high quality tree care to our clients. The Tree Care Team is involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. Team members are able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients.

What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:

  • Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals
  • Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and have a working knowledge of each species' characteristics
  • Ability to climb without spurs
  • Experience with tree care safety standards
  • Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
  • Valid Driver's license, CDL a plus
  • Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck)

We are looking for experienced Tree Climbers and Cutters. A good fit would be individuals with a current drivers license. If your looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We're looking for a Tree Climber to join our team.
Here's what you'd do:

Tree Climbers are responsible for working in trees to perform general tree care including pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and tree removals.

You'd be responsible for:

+ Using proper pruning techniques; assisting in process of trimming trees, clearing and chipping tree debris, and disposing of tree debris

+ Ensuring that the work area beneath and around the trees is clear and properly marked so that the public will be safe from falling debris

+ Maintaining climbing gear and tree care equipment to be sure that all equipment and tools are safe and in working order for high quality and safe service

+ Ensuring that all crew members follow Company safety policies and procedures

You might be a good fit if you have:

+ Previous climbing experience

+ Ability to become certified in EHAP, First-Aid and CPR

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

+ Ability to successfully follow directions and complete requests

+ Strong work ethic

+ Good communication skills

+ Bilingual (Spanish)
