Job Description: About the Role: As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Dixon, IL, plant, a manufacturer of quality aseptic products. Your role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. This position involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure proper maintenance practices and timely repairs. Assign tasks and prioritize maintenance activities based on urgency and criticality of equipment. Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment downtime and increase reliability. Monitor and schedule regular inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and calibration of machinery and equipment. Coordinate and prioritize emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations. Ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Important Details: The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $73,700 to $110,500 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay. This is a full-time, on-site role on Third Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts. You'll fit right in if you have: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management or a related field is a plus. Minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. Ensure the systematic review of all line, processes, and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, personnel safety, food safety, environment, or compliance with the law. · Monitor plant/equipment trends to ensure best possible operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime. · Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with the Best Maintenance Practices. · Facilitate the evolution/refinement of Maintenance activities to minimize planned and unplanned downtime (PM's, changeovers, etc.). · Supervisory Responsibilities · Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications resulting from Gap assessments, plant audits, and notifications are executed on time and offer a high-quality workmanship. · Ensure that the job planning, material and services planning is accurate and effective. · Ensure that the equipment history, damage code and root cause analysis are completed correctly. · Evaluate the performance of team members and provide periodic feedback to ensure development. · Communication · Share maintenance-related best practices across all of Eddy Packing's maintenance personnel via Leadership, training guides, etc. · Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and Plant Operations to ensure customer needs are met. · Encourage close team work between all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management, etc.). · Conduct regular inspections of plant to seek out potential problems and to solicit operator feedback. · Consolidate and analyze the factory M&R budgets, drive value-added and sustainable improvements. · Manage the Maintenance Parts store, scheduled Work Orders, labor hour allocation and the equipment Bill of Material (BOM). · Support and back-fill the roll-out and sustainability of TPM-PM Pillar across all of Eddy Packing's Departments. · Assures compliance with government regulatory agencies. · Other duties as assigned.
