**Job Description:**
**_About the Role:_**
As a ProductionSupervisor, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Dixon, IL, plant, a manufacturer of quality Aseptic products. Your role will directly impact the success of the site by ensuring smooth production operations, by overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor.
You will lead a team of operators, technicians, and workers, focusing on maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards, making a meaningful difference in the day-to-day experience of employees.
**_You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:_**
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and support to production workers, including assigning day to day tasks and ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
+ Coordinate production workflows, monitor production lines, and ensure equipment and materials are available.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies during all production processes.
+ Conduct training and development programs for new hires and existing staff to maintain skill levels.
+ Lead and collaborate with other departments to participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
**_Important Details:_**
+ This is a full-time, on-site role on **Second Shift** . Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts and weekends.
+ The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $73,700 to $110,500 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.

Reporting directly to the Plant Superintendent, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading the manufacturing team to ensure production of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Coordinates and supervises activities of equipment and workforce throughout the facility with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity, Spoilage and Employee Engagement
Communicates all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems or any other related information.
Works with employees on identifying, discussing solutions and implementing “fixes” on machinery and equipment problems
Performs and facilitates “on the job training”, coaching, and performance management of employees as needed or required
Applies knowledge of various processes, production methods and processes to improve plant production
Manages machinery set-up and adjustment and inspects products to ensure compliance to standards
Oversees quality and recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the equipment limits
Complete and/or administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, job progressions, disciplinary actions, monthly SAFE cards, time and attendance, accident reports and process control sheets

Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 - 5+ years of press operator experience
1 - 3+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred
Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions
Mechanical ability preferred
Must be organized and have the ability to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects with minimal supervision
Must have ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Understands basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problems
Must have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines
Must have basic computer skills with ability to use Microsoft programs and production related software
Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented
Physical Requirements
Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending

Work Environment
This position requires some work in an office environment and some work in a production environment. The office environment has a low noise level with ambient temperatures controlled by heating and air conditioning and PPE is not required. The production environment has a loud noise level may require hearing protection, ambient temperatures are warmer in the summer and colder in the winter, and may have exposure to vapors, chemicals, dust, and odors. Other PPE may be required related to specific tasks.

The Press Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction with press operations and ensuring press teams maintain efficiency and quality standards based on customer specifications. This role will also train and develop press crews, coordinate production with prepress and postpress departments, and maintain compliance while consistently enforcing all company, safety, and environmental policies and standards. This role also rotates every ten weeks from days to nights working 12-hour shifts with a 2-2-3 schedule.
