American Cruise Lines is seeking a Coastal Engineer to join the team at our Guilford, CT home office. Our rapid expansion has made us the largest overnight passenger vessel in the US domestic market. As our fleet continues to grow, so does the need to ensure our long-term strategic port infrastructure goals are met. The Coastal Engineer will play a critical role in the company's long-term port development and construction strategy. This role will create, plan and design port infrastructure projects across the country in collaboration with our port partners. Responsibilities: * Design and plan port infrastructure projects for both new and existing docks. * Prepare, review and submit permit applications and ensure regulatory compliance as required. * Work directly with Executive Leadership team. * Prepare feasibility reports for new projects to determine viability. * Assist in tracking permits from agencies to include local, state and federal. * Provide administrative support for dock construction projects as needed * Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Responsible for maintaining the upkeep and safety of the property. Using material handling equipment, forklifts and cart, electric, and hand operated digging, demolition, and cleaning tools and equipment, assisting in the wet cleaning of internal and external water features, working in the tool room, assisting all trades and crafts with routine and emergency work assignments. Responsible for hauling, lifting, and transportation of building materials, supplies, equipment, filters, furniture, and gaming tables. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
