By 1961, the hospital opened its doors with 42 physicians on staff.
Established in 1973, the Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship program awards significant financial support to individuals attending local colleges and universities, almost all focusing on health-related careers.
The 1980’s brought more building, with a four-story wing added and existing facilities remodeled.
By 1985, the official name of the hospital was changed to Tri-City Medical Center to reflect its growth into a comprehensive, regional facility.
In 2019 the Auxiliary funding donated equipment valued at over $70,000 for use in the Emergency Room, Operating Theater and Intensive Care Unit.
