Leave Administrator Responsible for managing and administering employee leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and company policies. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave and accommodation process, ensuring timely, accurate, and empathetic service. Facilitates the interactive process for ADA accommodations and maintains detailed records to ensure compliance and confidentiality. Essential Duties * Administer all types of employee leaves (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, workers' compensation, etc.), ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Serve as the subject matter expert on leave programs, advising employees, managers, and HR partners on eligibility, documentation, and process requirements. * Coordinate and facilitate the ADA interactive process, working with employees, managers, and healthcare providers to identify and implement reasonable accommodations. * Maintain accurate and confidential leave records, track leave status, documentation, and return-to-work dates, and produce reports as needed. * Responsible for communicating proactively with employees and managers regarding leave approvals, denials, extensions, and return-to-work requirements. * Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate pay continuation, benefits deductions, and system access changes during leaves. * Responsible for staying current on federal, state, and local leave and accommodation regulations, recommending process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency. * Administers training for supervisors and leadership on leave and accommodation requirements as needed. * Partner in audits and compliance reviews related to leave administration and accommodations. Education * High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in business, human resources or legal preferred. * PHR, SHRRM-CP or other HR professional certification preferred. Skills and Knowledge * 2 years of experience in leave administration, benefits, or HR generalist roles with direct responsibility for leave and accommodation processes. * Extensive understanding of FMLA, ADA, CFRA, HIPAA, PWFA, and other relevant federal and state leave laws.
