Shipping & Receiving Manager
Tri-State Equipment job in Bridgeton, MO
Job Description
Shipping & Receiving Manager
We're looking for a dependable Shipping & Receiving Manager to take ownership of our logistics operations. This is a "hands-on" role where you'll balance high-level coordination with daily warehouse activity. You'll be the point person for making sure everything that enters or leaves our facility is accounted for, organized, and delivered on time.
If you are someone who enjoys keeping things orderly, working with a variety of teams, and isn't afraid to jump in and move some freight when the pace picks up, we'd love to talk to you.
The Day-to-Day
You'll manage the full lifecycle of our inventory and shipments. On the administrative side, this means mastering our shipping management system, processing bills of lading, and coordinating with freight carriers, FedEx, and UPS. You'll also keep a close eye on the numbers-tracking inventory counts, monitoring shipping efficiency, and preparing reports to keep the rest of the team in the loop.
On the floor, you'll be active and involved. You'll ensure materials are labeled and routed to the right departments, conduct regular inventory audits, and use forklifts or pallet jacks to load and unload deliveries. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse isn't just a requirement here; it's a standard we take pride in.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for a professional with 5 to 7 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics, ideally within an industrial setting. You should have a High School Diploma or GED and either hold a forklift certification or be ready to earn one.
Success in this role requires a mix of technical skill and personal drive. You should be:
Detail-Oriented: You spot the missing line item or the mislabeled box before it becomes a problem.
Self-Motivated: You see what needs to be done-whether it's reordering stock or streamlining a process-and you take care of it.
Physically Capable: You're comfortable being on your feet, using ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs with the help of equipment.
Tech-Savvy: You're proficient with computers and shipping software.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
