(TAPM) is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Guilford County, North Carolina with six (6) locations seeking to fill the position of a Chief Medical Officer. Under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for clinical compliance with all medical policies, staffing, directives, rules, regulations and clinical performance standards of the State, Federal Government, Local entities and health center bylaws and accrediting bodies. The CMO serves as the organization's point person on medical and clinical issues. The CMO provides professional medical services as appropriate, and other related work, as designated by the Chief Executive Officer including, but not limited to, essential job functions. Ensures all medical providers meet required maintenance of certification, trainings and that mid-level providers comply with the rules and regulations governing their practice standards. The Chief Medical Offer also provides primary care for clients two days per week and ensures that patients have access to inpatient, outpatient, and specialty care services in collaboration with other center providers and referral management team members. Job Responsibilities: Assists provider staff during examinations, treatments, and testing. Refers to and follows provider staff orders in accordance with agency protocols, policies and procedures when performing patient care and clinical skills including but not limited to: venipuncture, immunization injections, ear irrigation, administration of medications, dental varnishings, catherizations, specimen collections, etc., and completes necessary documentation. Retrieves information from patient charts for lab and diagnostic tests, and obtains required patient signature on appropriate consent forms, as requested by provider staff. Performs patient intake and prepares patients for office visit per policy and procedure. In collaboration with provider staff, supports entry and recording of visit charges per protocol and advises patients of follow up appointments as directed by provider staff. When requested, ensures referral forms and other paperwork initiated by provider staff is complete and accurate. Requisitions, organizes, and stocks inventory for examination rooms and nurse's station, as needed. Disposes of all disposables, contaminated, and used items into designated waste containers. Cleans and stocks examination rooms and stations as needed. Participates in ongoing quality improvement monitoring, educational updates, in-services, and other meetings pertaining to position. Promotes team, system, and organizational goals; maintains patient confidentiality and provides customer service. Abides by all company policies, procedures and protocols regarding safety/health rules and regulations. Adapts to various situations and adjusts to shifting priorities. Preparation and Training: Job duties require a high school education with additional broad technical training in a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Program. Analytical Ability: Repetitive routine, or semi-routine duties, involving the use of numerous established clerical, statistical, and/or other general procedures.
