DUTIES
Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
Assist in obtaining soil and rock samples from test borings, using proper collection/handling methods
Assist in installation of monitoring wells, piezometers and inclinometers
Assist in the preparation of boring logs and field reports
Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and working order
Perform drill rig and support vehicle maintenance
Maintain a service-friendly and professional relationship with the client/owner while on site
Maintain frequent and effective communication with Drill Operator and Drilling Supervisor
Strives to make each project profitable
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience
No experience is required
Mechanical ability required (operator, repair, maintenance, welding, etc.)
Some heavy equipment, drilling, and/or construction-related field experience is desirable
Additional Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to read, write and perform basic math
Must be comfortable communicating with the public
Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
A CDL license is strongly encouraged
The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions, frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration. What You'll Do
This senior level position will define and implement CADD applications appropriate to specifications obtained from engineers and project managers.
DUTIES
Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
Troubleshoots non-routine problems.
Recommend design changes.
Prepare cost and quantity estimates and/or design calculations.
Assist Practice Leader in establishing and maintaining coordination between the CADD staff and the engineers and project managers.
Assist Practice Leader in the supervision, training, and development of CADD personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing field monitoring of erosion and sediment (E&S) controls on various types of construction Projects (linear and site-based) while working independently.
Review and understand specifications, permits, and permit conditions as well as E&S control and stormwater plans associated with both site and linear construction Projects.
Prepare and review periodic monitoring reports based upon field observations. Reports may be submitted via paper report or electronically as required.
Assist with the preparation of environmental reports, permit applications, and closeout requests such as wetland and stream delineation reports, erosion and sediment control plans, and sound studies.
Agree and adhere to the Health and Safety requirements of GAI Consultants and GAI's clients.
Maintain QA/QC standards and adhere to the Quality Management System procedures of GAI Consultants and the quality procedures of GAI's clients.
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical writing ability.
Ability to utilize electronic location devices such as a GPS or a GPS enabled device to collect data tied to a Project location.

comprehension of E&S control BMP concepts, designs, and maintenance requirements.
Past experience working with an environmental review agency (e.g. state or local conservation district) either for the agency or with the agency as a consultant or

Experience in SWPPP, NPDES Permit Application and/or Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Plan Development.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or GIS (ArcGIS).
Experience in environmental compliance such as air compliance and/or spill response planning a plus.

Transportation and Community Development business units. The position will require travel and fieldwork generally located in
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform geotechnical engineering assignments involving investigations for a variety of facilities including, but not
limited to: foundations for transmission lines, buildings, roadways, bridges, retaining walls, dams, and other
structures; designs for embankments and cut slopes for roadways and other developments; designs for natural gas
pipelines and compressor stations; design of waste landfills and impoundments; and development of geotechnical
monitoring and laboratory testing programs.
Prepare geotechnical engineering designs involving: rock/soil slope stability; cut slope and fill embankment design;
landslide stabilization and remediation (reinforcement with rock anchors/soil nails, GRS slopes); geotechnical field
instrumentation; soil reinforcement and ground improvement techniques (CMCs, compaction grouting, stone
columns); sheet pile/retaining walls (gravity walls, soldier pile, and lagging walls, MSE walls, T-walls); shallow and
deep foundations (spread footings, driven piles, micropiles, drilled shafts).
Geotechnical Investigation and Construction Support Services including, but not limited to: test boring monitoring
and logging; site reconnaissance; foundation and retaining structure construction monitoring and inspection.
The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting specifications and construction drawings, evaluating site conditions based on construction excavations, monitoring and reporting on construction activities, and performing field testing of soils.
Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specifications, and reports.
Travel can be expected in the form of fieldwork, which can be daily local travel or weekly out-of-town travel, generally located in the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia areas (up to 50%).

What You'll Do
This entry level position will operate Computer-Aided Design computer systems to create, update and modify maps, and perform manual drafting in support of a variety of routine projects.
DUTIES
Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
Provide CADD drafting and design support for engineer, or other staff, for typical civil engineering projects
Perform work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions and notes
Work under the direction of the Practice Leader, engineer or Senior CADD Technician
May provide quantity estimates or other measurements from CADD files to engineer, or other staff, for cost estimate purposes
Work closely with all departments to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information
Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, meeting standards, fits and stack-ups
Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings / specifications
Use the accepted drawing standards as guidelines
Works under general direction, receiving project guidance from an engineer
Compiles and interprets various types of data to support design and drafting tasks
Prepare and develop details, design plans, and specifications
Assists in maintaining workflow processes and CADD related training.
Strive to make each project profitable
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical school courses in computer-aided drafting desirable
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Additional Requirements
Must possess:
A valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from the workplace
The ability to read, write and perform basic math
The ability to comfortably communicate with the public
Basic computer skills (MS Office), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software
