Unlike many litigation positions, this position will involve handling cases that are regularly taken to a jury verdict. If you want the opportunity to try cases, this position will provide you with the opportunities and resources to make it happen. You will be a part of a fast-paced team environment and will have all the needed support to allow you to focus on the proper workup of all cases in preparation for settlement or trial. The position will have a dedicated litigation paralegal assisting on all cases, and further, medical records clerks will obtain and organize all medical records related to the client’s file.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-15 years' experience, preferably, with at least 3 years of personal injury related experience. Overall organization and attention to detail are absolutely necessary. This role will require the hands-on management of your cases. Willingness and ability to interact with clients, adjusters, and other lawyers/paralegals over the phone and in person. A desire to try cases and enjoy your work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Spanish speaking. Personal injury litigation experience. Prior trial experience.

Under limited direction of the Subrogation Department managing attorney, performs duties of legal counsel in the prosecution of civil subrogation claims, and representation of the Company in a variety of courts of law, and other related appearances.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Handles the investigation of potential subrogation claims and all phases of civil cases in state and federal courts relating to subrogation rights arising from payment of worker' compensation benefits. Prosecution of civil litigation claims involving products liability, negligence, and premises liability actions. Handles all aspects of discovery, including written and documentary discovery, takes depositions, analyzes records, and testimony, prepares and files related reports. Performs legal research at all levels, from advising clients through the appellate procedures. Acts as inter-departmental training seminar leader.
