I like the type of work but its a horrible place to work. In lab work it is hard to land a job with little or no experience. Tricore does hire newly graduated people but of they pay very low.
Over worked understaffed is completely standard and normal because the burn out rate and turn over rate is so high. Unfair pay. It is made to look like tricore cares about patient care and their employees. They care about the bottom line and the money. It’s appearances do as I say not as I do.
Decent health insurance
My co-workers were great.
Too much favoritism, super obvious favoritism. There are two people in Pathology Client Engagement who did nothing. Seriously, they sat and talked about movies or were on their cell phone all day while the rest of Client Engagement struggled at times to get critical calls out and answer a ton of incoming calls.
There really isn't any. You get only 4 times a year when you can call off and you get 6 'tardies'. You go past those and you get fired, like a few of us have.
The molcular testing
Molecular scientist starting pay is only $16 an hour. Admin seems very well taken care of but techs are treated badly.
