This unit also sees open-heart patients post-op. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:3, or 1:4, with a free charge available on all shifts. Job Requirements The Student Nurse Intern (SNI) program is a paid internship giving nursing students the opportunity to work under the direction of the RN in providing care to patients. The Student Nurse Intern will have the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills in providing patient care as a Student Nursing Associate. The Student Nurse Intern is also paired with an experienced RN to provide mentorship and shadowing opportunities. The Student Nurse Intern is responsible for patient care activities, unit clerical duties, computerized order entry procedures, and other unit activities, as applicable.
