Sean is Trifacta’s Chief Technical Officer and Co-founder. He completed his Ph.D. at Stanford University, where his research focused on user interfaces for database systems. At Stanford, Sean led development of new tools for data transformation and discovery, such as Data Wrangler. He previously worked as a data analyst at Citadel Investment Group.

I am an innovative and strategic CFO focused on leading public and private companies through rapid growth. I've been in multiple industries including SaaS, big data, and IP software and have been responsible for completing over a dozen M&A transactions totaling |$350M.

➢ While partnering with investment banks, lawyers, and auditors during a $1B cross border dual listed acquisition, I managed the company-wide acquisition process, which included submitting all necessary filings for NASDAQ and LSE. Also, I had responsibility for the subsequent integration and delivered all planned synergies.

➢ I've presented to analysts and shareholders and I have been a member of the Financial Results Committee that approved quarterly financials and press release for the earning calls. I have raised ~$200M from top tier VC’s and strategic partners,

➢ My experience includes establishing companies in EMEA and APAC and implementing international tax planning that reduced the global effective tax rate by 6% a FTSE 100 company.

Mark Sarbiewski offers more than 25 years of experience as a CMO in high-tech organizations. Prior to joining Trifacta, he served as CMO at Kentik, Castlight Health, and Anaplan, helping to scale those market-leading SaaS businesses. At Anaplan, Sarbiewski drove marketing to support more than five times the revenue growth. He also held executive product and product marketing roles at Mercury Interactive and Hewlett Packard. Sarbiewski earned an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.

Paul Staelin is the Chief Customer Officer of Trifacta. Prior to that, he was the Chief Customer Officer and a co-founder of Birst. He was responsible for ensuring customer success across the customer lifecycle and oversees Birst’s Customer Success, Professional Services, Education, Support, Community, and Operations teams. Before working at Birst, Paul built and managed Siebel’s Sales Analytics product line, overseeing its growth from start to over $40 million in annual license revenue. Earlier in his career, Paul co-founded Empower Corporation and served as its President for several years prior to its sale in 1999. Paul has also served Sun Microsystems and PictureTel in various product and technical roles. Paul enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and rooting for the Red Sox. Paul holds a BS from Yale, an MS from MIT in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller scholar.
