Our Unit: The CVICU at Bethesda North Hospital is dedicated to providing advanced, specialized care for critically ill patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. Our 32 bed unit focuses on post-operative care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart procedures, heart failure treatments, and interventions such as stent placements. Staffed by highly trained nurses, intensivists, and a multidisciplinary team, the CVICU is a hub of cutting-edge care that delivers 24/7 comprehensive monitoring to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Our CVICU nurses handle ECMO, Impella, Balloon pumps, LVADs and Open heart surgeries. Nurses actively run ECMO circuits, getting hands on experience that few places offer. Collaboration is key- we work closely with cardiothoracic NPs, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Plus, our partnership with the Cleveland Clinic provides top-notch educational opportunities. Around the clock intensivist coverage ensures immediate support, and our holistic care team includes pharmacists, therapist and dietitians! Job Overview: This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families. The position also collaborates, in a collegial manner, with physicians and other health care team members in meeting the patient's needs. This position may delegate certain aspects of care to those under their direct supervision, within the scope of nursing practice. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (Required) 1 - 2 years of experience in social services or direct customer service or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified. Preferred Job Responsibilities: Submit required forms to appropriate County Department of Job and Family Services. Maintain log of cases: Enrollments, recertifications, proposed for termination, completed cases, denials, etc. Process participants for presumptive enrollment if eligible and permitted by Ohio.
