Job DescriptionKitchen Tune-Up is seeking an individual to join our team doing kitchen remodeling projects across Greater Portland and the surrounding communities. We offer unique custom products and services that are in strong demand with homeowners. We are dedicated to making our customers kitchens the best they can be. You will never get bored as every kitchen is different, average duration is 5 days and we are off to the next one. We work in a climate-controlled environment and offer steady year-round employment, both full and part time.

Responsibilities:

Arrive to shop or jobsite on time Work quickly and efficiently with a production mindset Well organized, attention to detail is a must
Interpret plans and specifications provided by project manager
Be polite and courteous to our customers, keep work area clean and orderly and clean up daily Cooperate with the team, keeping everyone’s best interests in mind
Able to keep track of tools and keep your jobsite/ van organized
Communicate with project manager daily about progress

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.


Skills:

Stellar work ethic
Able to follow directions without deviating
Must be able to match colors (cannot be color blind)
Use of saws, power tools, paint sprayers, etc.
Willing to learn and be trainable

Additional Skills
(preferred but not required)
Prior experience working with wood veneers or cabinet refacing
Prior experience in spray lacquers.
Able to install crown molding

Essential Responsibilities:

* Stretching at the beginning of shift during team huddle
* Gather supplies needed for the day.
* Continually communicate with co-workers in regard to the process and following work instructions.
* Use critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approach problems. These must be done while still following the work instructions.
* May work with a variety of chemicals or come in contact with chemicals.
* Employee assigned designated location on the blade to work on.
* Scuff laminate surface, cut out any extra flange/dried glass along the edge of the blade. (Take the gloss off)
* Scuff out any quality/NDT labeled areas.
* Apply glue to areas that have voids (inside and outside the blade).
* Employees working inside the blade must adhere to confined space plan.
* Follow work instructions and change and adapt to the work instructions as they change.
* Cut excess glass from root end.
* Clean out inside of blade of dust debris.

Eligibility Requirements:

* Ability to operate basic hand and power tools
* Ability to lift or carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs
* Ability to read blueprints / work instructions / safety protocols
* English comprehension for effective work-related verbal and written communication.
* Ability to work individually and part of a team

Desired Qualifications:

* Basic math skills
* Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience
* Must have strong communication skills
* Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
* Requires usage of respirator
* Physical demands outlined in Job Analysis
* Ability to operate heavy machinery
* Computer literacy
* Use of hands for scraping and intricate detailing

The Production Home Assembler follows work orders and instructions in order to accurately and efficiently prepare and assemble building components and homes in a factory assembly line environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:

* Operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete carpentry duties including:
* Circular Saw
* Table Saw
* Router
* Pneumatic Nail Gun (roofing, framing and finish work)
* Drills
* And other tools needed for measuring, cutting, fastening, and drilling

* Frame, layout and build floors
* Prepare, layout and build walls
* Layout, run and install electrical lines, switches, receptacles and panels/breaker boxes
* Install and prepare dry for finish tape, mud and texture
* Complete roof construction, decking, flashing and shingling
* Cabinet and or finish carpentry and trim, build and installation
* Installation of siding, windows and doors
* Install ceramic tile
* Painting of interior and exterior of homes
* Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees
* Adhere to all rules and regulations, at all times
* Meet or exceed company safety standards
* Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* Be able to read, write, and speak English
* High School diploma, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to read a tape measure
* Possess basic construction knowledge and comfortable using basic tools
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to read blueprints, a plus
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
* Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve in a high-volume
* Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary
* You must be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members

Working conditions:

* Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
* Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical requirements:

* Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree
* Heavy Work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
