Job Summary: Our software engineering internship offers a variety of hands-on experience, depending on your area of interest and experience. You will receive hands-on experience using your coding and programming skills in a professional setting while learning how to operate in an agile, team environment. Key Responsibilities: Become intimately familiar with product requirements Develop high quality software that satisfies the product requirements Work with developers to make sure that new features are created according to market requirements Work with development teams on complex, multi-dimensional projects, and learn valuable leadership skills Learn how to effectively work under pressure and as part of a team Manage advanced release/beta program for the new phase of the solution and collect user feedback and use to shape the product Understand and adopt coding standards and best practices Other duties as required and requested by management. Recommended Skills & Experience Candidates currently pursuing a degree in accredited Engineering, or Computer Science curriculum Experience in any of the following languages: Matlab/Simulink, C++, Python, Linux/Bash Experience with Git, GitHub and GitHub actions/GitHub apps. The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance. Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
