Pros of working at TriMet

It payed well and had decent benefits.

Cons of working at TriMet

Very low diversity. Some are more "diverse" than the rest. Generally you will be treated like cattle and thrown away when you are no longer of use. Indirect prejudice is used when people don't like you.

TriMet benefits

My favorite part was the very few days that I was actually able to just show up, do my job, and then leave.

What do you like best about TriMet's CEO and the leadership team?

I don't know them well enough to form an opinion.

How would you improve TriMet's culture?

Management and HR need to be more active with the employees. I don't mean training videos, I mean socialize and actually form a realistic opinion of those who no longer need to be with the company.

How does your compensation at TriMet compare to the industry average?

Given the location and cost of living, it's about average. Maybe slightly above. The bus drivers seem to be treated well at the cost of higher stress.

What's the diversity at TriMet like?

little to none. Only reason this would exist is if the company wanted to put on a publicity stunt.

What brings you the most joy at TriMet?

Being left alone.

Pros of working at TriMet

The pay & benefits are excellent. Great career advancement, too.

Cons of working at TriMet

There are a lot of overlapping legacy systems that will drive you crazy.

TriMet benefits

Being vested in 3 years!

What do you like best about TriMet's CEO and the leadership team?

Our General Manager is a stand-up guy, caring and genuine. The executive team is juggling a lot of balls.

How would you improve TriMet's culture?

Better management systems, and I don't mean new software.

How did you prepare for the TriMet interview?

I was hired as a 6-month temp through Robert Half, and transitioned to a full-time position in four months.

How does your compensation at TriMet compare to the industry average?

I came from non-profit visual arts executive leadership, so there simply is no comparison.

What's the diversity at TriMet like?

It's remarkably better than the overall population of the city and the state.

What brings you the most joy at TriMet?

I am able to contribute using my skills.

Pros of working at TriMet

The pay if you can just look down, do the job and watch others not do any work and on overtime.

Cons of working at TriMet

Management will take credit for hard working honest employees and give you letters of warning to cover their incompetence skills

TriMet benefits

None. Feeling even worst after realizing almost all administration's employees don't support the field employees.
