1988

Founded in 1988 in the San Francisco Bay Area

2000

At the same time, the company went through its own rounds of equity financing, including an investment by U.K.-based staffing firm Select Holdings, LLC (later renamed as Vedior). In 2000, the company incorporated as TriNet Group.

2004

In 2004, Vedior sold its minority interest in TriNet to General Atlantic, a growth equity firm.

2008

Since 2008, Burton M. Goldfield has served as president, CEO and board member of TriNet.

2014

In March 2014 TriNet launched its initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange with ticker symbol TNET and became a public company.

2017

Catherine Wragg joined TriNet in 2017 and serves as senior vice president of Human Resources,

2018

Michael Mendenhall joined TriNet in March 2018 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer / chief communications officer.

2020

Alex Warren has held the role of senior vice president, customer experience at TriNet since May 2020.

Kelly Tuminelli joined TriNet in September 2020 as executive vice president of finance and was appointed as chief financial officer on October 26, 2020.

2021

Jonathan LeCompte joined TriNet in May 2021 and serves as senior vice president and chief sales officer.

2022

Samantha Wellington has served as executive vice president, business affairs, chief legal officer and secretary of TriNet since April 2022.
