Multi-Service Interventional Radiographer performs a variety of interventional procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality. The Multi-Service Interventional Radiographer will need to routinely support a minimum of 2 of these services, while also catering to the needs of the departments by flexing coverage as needed
**What you'll do:**
+ Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.
+ Performs a variety of Interventional procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
+ Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
+ Performs a variety of exams in at least 2 of the interventional service lines while also being able to be flexed to the departments with greatest need at the discretion of the site leadership.
+ Participates in call as required.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
+ License / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Registry Eligible staff must complete their ARRT within 90 days of employment. Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required. CI or CV registry preferred --or- Cardiovascular Technologist with Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), with 2 years work experience in cardiac catheterization preferred.
+ Additional competencies and/or certifications as well as a routine coverage in areas of Interventional Radiology, Interventional Radiology Neurology, Catheterization Lab, and/or Electrophysiology lab will be necessary in order to maintain skill in these areas.
+ Experience: 2 years work experience in all phases of diagnostic radiography, preferred; with angiography, cardiac catheterization, or surgery experience preferred.
+ Effective Communication Skills
+ Current CPR certification required.
+ Able to perform professional duties with minimal supervision.

JOB SUMMARY
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for the entire scope of the registration process for patients seen at St. Luke's University Health Network, in outpatient and/or Emergency Department locations. Patient Access Representative I communicates/coordinates with SLPG practices, clinical/diagnostic departments, and various revenue cycle departments to ensure excellent patient experience, clean claim submission, and payment for services. May require occasional travel between campuses or regional locations. Required to be cross-trained in all departments at campus or within region.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible to correctly identify/validate the choosing of patients in hospital information system to maintain the integrity and accuracy of electronic medical records. Identify and report any instances of possible identify theft situations to clinical department and leadership for appropriate escalation.
* Maintain knowledge and education of network policy on Patient Identification including Mark for Merge, Chart Corrections, and Patient Look-Up.
* Responsible for the patient registration (pre-reg and post-reg needs) including all of the following: demographics, emergency contact, transcribing diagnostic orders, primary care and referring provider, diagnosis, insurance and guarantor verification, real time insurance eligibility, point of service cash collections. This also includes patient, account, and claim edit level work queue errors related to registration. * Must obtain Medical license Number, NPI and UPIN via appropriate website for all new provider entries for outpatient services to ensure results are routed accurately and claim submission/payment.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting/standing up to 8 hours per day, 4 or more hours at a time. Frequent use of hands/fingers for data entry. Frequently walking and ability to push up to 250 pounds in a wheelchair. Ability to occasionally carry or lift up to 15 pounds. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Paramedic will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.
This Paramedic position will be working in our Trauma Center at Mount Carmel East on night shift three 12-hour shifts per week from 6pm - 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do:
* Initiates respiratory interventions including oxygen therapy and assistance with preparation for intubation per physician order or protocol
* Initiates and discontinues intravenous lines and intraosseous (IO) access as requested by the physician, including use of the ultrasound machine
* Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates appropriate treatment (CPR/defibrillation)
* Transports and monitors stable telemetry and non-telemetry patients
* Maintains professional radio communication with incoming EMS units
* Performs patient care activities as appropriately delegated by the RN in a timely manner
* Performs treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Verifies and implements physician/other licensed independent practitioner's orders.
* Administers medications, according to the organization's standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
* Initiates appropriate emergency procedures within the scope of practice under the direction of the physician/other LIP.
* Practices proper patient identification procedures. Maintains equipment appropriate to the care environment.
* Establishes priorities for the delivery of care and meets patient needs.
* Performs visual acuity, eye irrigations and equipment setups
* Performs CLIA-waived testing as assigned.
* Performs phlebotomy and obtains lab specimens as ordered.
* Follows appropriate protocols and participates as a team member for trauma, stroke, STEMI and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation.
* Performs wound care and practices sterile technique when appropriate
* Performs suture and staple removal, excluding facial region.
* Performs foley care and collects specimens.
* Performs EKG
* Performs Phlebotomy
* Performs orthopedic duties
* Participates in hazardous materials or disaster events
* Performs duties as assigned in triage including facilitating door to EKG benchmark
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School / GED. Successful completion of an approved course(s) which includes basic patient care skills, EKG and phlebotomy required
* License / Certification: Current Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio. ACLS required, Current BLS Healthcare Provider required, PALS preferred
* Experience: 2-4 years previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
* Effective Communication Skills
