This position is responsible for supervising the activities of the Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and laboratory assistants in the Microbiology department. Reporting to the Supervisor Wound & Hyperbaric, Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine, this position provides guidance to staff engaged in a variety of work related to the registration, scheduling, and/or referral process for patients in the Wound and Hyperbaric department. The lead performs routine and more technically difficult tasks associated with all duties of the Administrative Specialists. This position is responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac and vascular exams (including Echocardiography, vascular ultrasound), and ensuring proper documentation and clerical duties associated with the exams. The Physician Relations Consultant serves as a conduit between physicians and clinicians and their practices and the hospital. By building collaborative relationships, the Physician Relations Consultant works to achieve growth for the Regional Health Ministry (RHM), clinical service lines and the Accountable Care Organization/Clinically Integrated Network (ACO/CIN), in alignment with the organization's strategic plan. Under direction of Strategy/Business Development, and in partnership with RHM Senior Leadership, Marketing, the Chief Medical Officer, the Medical Group Provider Services (MGPS) leader and the CIN Executive, the Physician Relations Consultant will implement plans of action to increase physician satisfaction and raise awareness of services available within the ministry. The Physician Relations Consultant will work toward physician engagement and retention with the RHM and ACO/CIN through open dialogue and in-person visits with both affiliated (both employed and private practice) and non-affiliated physicians in the assigned service area. Flexible schedule **Job Title: Contingent** Speech-Language Pathologist (Home Health) Provides professional speech and audiology diagnostic and therapeutic services to clients as authorized by physicians and in compliance with state practice acts and licensure requirements. **Supervision** Serves as preceptor for new staff and provides functional supervision of HHAs. **Essential Functions** + Prioritize and plan visits based on client condition, physician orders, and available resources. + Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, ethics, and agency policies. + Assess clients at admission and required intervals using standardized documentation. + Develop and revise treatment plans with physician and client, including attainable goals. + Make referrals and coordinate care with other disciplines. + Apply professional judgment in evaluations and interventions. + Implement preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative procedures per treatment plan. + Educate clients and families on communication and swallowing improvement. + Report changes in client condition promptly and obtain updated orders. + Participate in quality improvement and peer review. + Document all care accurately and timely in the point-of-care system. + Ensure safe home environment and discharge planning. **Minimum Qualifications** Meets the educational and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association; or, meets the educational requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certificate. - Registration or license to practice as a speech pathologist in the state of practice if applicable. - Must accept responsibility for maintaining clinical practice skills, learning and adhering to agency's policies and procedures on an on-going basis. - Must be able to function in a practice environment with minimal direct supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the agency's clients and their families. - Must have current Driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work site. - Accurately documents observations, evaluations and interventions pertaining to client care management and services in accordance with agency policy and procedure utilizing the point of care information system. This position is responsible for supervising the activities of the Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and laboratory assistants in the Microbiology department.
