The Pharmacy Intern assists the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Routine intern functions are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, intravenous admixing, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and the extensive use of equipment and automated technology. Based on ability, experience, and performance, the Pharmacy Intern may perform increasingly clinical activities of the pharmacy, under direct supervision of a pharmacist.

What you will do:

* Prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile products, including chemotherapy by using proper aseptic technique.
* Compounds medications by using proper technique and calculations (ie. ointments, creams, oral liquids, enteral tube feeding preparations).
* Assists the pharmacist in the filling of orders/prescriptions.
* Prepares sterile products; properly labels medications and maintains records of packaging as required by department Policy and Procedures and state and federal law
* Assists the pharmacist in providing drug information to patients and other health care professionals, advising on proper methods, usage, and cautions associated with medications.
* Prepares and restocks drugs for automated dispensing cabinets.
* Performs clinical duties under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including medication reconciliation, adverse drug event reviews, renal dosing, medication utilization reviews, patient rounds with physicians, presentations for education purposes, and other clinical duties as directed by preceptor.
* Assists in the management of pharmacy inventory by providing information to pharmacy purchasing, removing expired contaminated or deteriorated stock when detected, helping maintain perpetual inventories, and processing non-formulary requests.

Under the direction of the Head of Schools, the Reading Interventionist carries out the primary responsibility for planning and delivering instruction based on Common Core Standards and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and deliver academic instruction, differentiating as necessary to address student learning needs.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of each student's learning challenges based on available records and current observable data. Formulate goals and objectives to address student needs and implement appropriate instructional programs to facilitate progress.
Assist the Behavior Specialist with monitoring the schoolwide Positive Behavior Training (PBT) management system at the classroom level.
Monitor each student's progress against content standards and IEP goals by administering formal and informal assessments, constructing a portfolio of student work samples, and maintaining records of student grades as applicable.
Conduct three formal parent-teacher conferences per year with follow-up written summary; communicate progress via phone and email as necessary.

The Position
The Summer Intern, Computational Biology & Bioinformatics will support Translational Genetics research at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by contributing to the development and improvement of computational biology and bioinformatics workflows. This internship offers hands-on experience working with next-generation sequencing data, analytical pipelines, and AI-enabled tools in a collaborative research environment. The intern will help connect diverse datasets and improve how biological data is processed, documented, and interpreted to support scientific decision-making.
This is an 11-week Summer Internship Program paying $27.00 per hour and requires full-time, on-site work five days per week at the designated location.
Responsibilities
Support development and enhancement of computational biology and bioinformatics workflows.
Assist with analysis and integration of sequencing and multi-omics datasets.
Contribute to automation, quality control, and data organization efforts within analytical pipelines.
Help ensure accurate capture, validation, and use of experimental metadata across systems.
Create summaries, visualizations, or reports to support data interpretation and project updates.
Collaborate with computational and experimental scientists to align workflows with research needs.
Present progress updates and findings to the project team and participate in technical discussions.

Requirements
Currently pursuing a PhD program in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical genetics and data analysis workflows.
Familiarity with NGS or RNA-seq data analysis concepts.
Understanding of experimental metadata structures and data organization principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional research environment.
Preferred
Experience with bioinformatics workflows or pipeline development.
Familiarity with workflow management tools, visualization platforms, or cloud-based analysis environments.
Exposure to LLM-based or AI-assisted tools for data analysis or automation.
