+ Answer in basket message, patient follow up calls and message
+ Using EPIC
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Education: Highschool Diploma or GED with 1-2 years Medical experience OR Graduate Bachelors or Associates in science/health degree BUT Graduate/Completion of a medicalassistant program preferred, MedicalAssistant Certification or Registration preferred, or Graduate of EMT, EMT-P, or Military Medical Corpsman training preferred.
+ Licensure / Certification: MCMG Only: Nationally recognized MedicalAssistant Certification or Registration, preferred.
+ Experience: One to two years medicalassisting experience preferred. In lieu of required education, two to three years of previous medical office experience is required.

This position will work 3, 12-hour evening shifts a week. 12:00 pm - 12:30am as scheduled and rotating weekend coverage. 4, 10 hour shifts could be considered as well.
About the Unit:
The laboratory at Mount Carmel Dublin will provide a wide range of laboratory procedures that will aid clinicians in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients. There will be comprehensive testing in the specialties of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, blood gases, molecular, and blood banking. Located on the 1st floor will be an Outpatient Lab Service Center that will provide convenient hours for patients to have their blood drawn. Self-scheduling will be available to allow for little to no wait times. This laboratory will house all new state of the art instrumentation along with EPIC Beaker laboratory information system. The laboratory team will interact with other Dublin Hospital health care professionals to coordinate the best patient care experience.
About the job:
The Medical Technologist performs laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and
rapidly.
What you'll do:
Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.
Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
Maintains a high level of quality assurance.
Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections.
Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager. In absence of supervisor/manager, will act to determine final decision.
Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.
What we're looking for:
Education: Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
If applicable, must maintain active certification.
Experience: Preferred, but not required.

Assists in maintenance of departmental compliance with continuous regulatory readiness.
Other Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly
reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
Participates in and coordinates with organizational process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues. Adheres to
established policies and procedures, which may include wearing of personal protective equipment.
Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
Orders supplies, maintaining department inventory.
Assists in the orientation & training of new colleagues.
Exhibits a customer service and community focus.
Fosters a climate that will assist Diley Ridge Medical Center to fulfill its mission.
Accepts other responsibilities as assigned.
