The Sleep Center Trainee supports the delivery of diagnostic sleep services while developing the knowledge and skills required to become a Sleep Technologist. This role performs basic sleep testing procedures and assists with patient preparation, monitoring, and documentation under the direct supervision of a registered sleep technologist. The Sleep Center Trainee contributes to accurate data collection, patient safety, and adherence to sleep center protocols while progressing through structured training and competency development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform basic sleep testing procedures and patient monitoring activities under the direct supervision of a sleep technologist. Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, applying monitoring equipment, and ensuring comfort and safety. Under the general guidance and direction of the Central Processing Unit Manager the Central Processing Technician I will be trained to perform all core job responsibilities in the Central Processing Department. Core Sterile Processing functions include receiving, sorting and decontamination of surgical/clinic items, flexible and rigid endoscopes and instrumentation; inspection and packaging of single instruments and instrument trays; identification of appropriate sterilization or high-level disinfection method and cycle selection, appropriate documentation for all sterile processes.
