**Shift Details:** + **Full-Time/Evening shift: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm EST** + **40 hours a week** + **Weekend and holiday rotation required** In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Patient Transporter transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility. What you will do: + Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed todesignatedsites asrequested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips,monitorsand other equipment. + Assistspatients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers. + Delivers equipment and specimens torequestingstaff or department.Assistsstaff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue. + Greetsandprovidesinformation and direction to patients and visitors. Minimum Qualifications: + Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Or attending High School + Licensure / Certification: CPR "HeartSaver" Required by the end of orientation. + Experience: Prior work experience in the health care field preferred. + Effective Communication Skills + Ability to lift and transport patients. + Ability to withstandfrequent to prolongedwalking, standing,pushingand pulling. Other duties as assigned. Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Knowledge of and experience in medical terminology preferred. 2. Experience working in healthcare environment is preferred. 3. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. 4. Experience working in an electronic medical record (i.e. EPIC) or similar software is preferred.
