Job Overview: The Production Operator is responsible for the production of acrylic resin via bulk polymerization, compounding and extrusion processes by combining both liquid and solid raw materials. This position will be located in Bristol, PA and reports to the Production Leader. Responsibilities • Follow safe work procedures in the formulation, production, testing and packaging of various grades of acrylic resin. • Control and monitor process conditions through distributed control systems (DCS). • Perform manual tasks associated with maintaining operations on each of the production lines. • Accurately record raw material usages and finished goods production. • Relays pertinent process information to co-workers and supervisor. • Drives a forklift. • Maintains good housekeeping of work areas. • Supports Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations. • Supports Loss Control policy, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems. • Will climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator. • Will work on a 12 hour rotating shift schedule (requires night shift). Qualifications • HS Diploma or GED is required • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred • Basic skills in MS Office and excellent interpersonal skills are expected • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy is key to success in this role The person in this job is expected to work within a team environment (shift team and operations team) and be capable of communicating effectively (both written and verbal) with peers, technical staff, interplant suppliers and customers, maintenance personnel, project teams, crisis response personnel, etc. Use of all electronic Operate Plant WP tools is required.
