Monitor patient responses to therapy including vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; promptly consult with physicians if adverse reactions occur. Play a key role in rapid response and code situations, where your expertise and quick decision-making make an immediate difference including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage, and assistance with CPR.
