Getz began his career with Girard Bank, leaving there to join First Pennsylvania Bank in 1982. In the years that followed, he founded Federated Bank and Trust in 1985. Later, he performed as President and Corporate Director with Federated Securities Corp.Away from his professional responsibilities, Mr. Getz gives to Pittsburgh-area nonprofits, including Oakland Catholic, the Little Sisters of the Poor, and the Children's Hospital Foundation. He also supports the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. James F. Getz sits on the board of King’s College, his undergraduate alma mater in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In his free time, he relaxes by reading and playing tennis and golf.
