Composites focus areas include lightweighting, high temperature composites, multifunctionality and manufacturing process development. Our programs often involve highly stressed composites subject to dynamic loading; part quality, durability and repeatability; and design for high temperature and high heat flux environments.
Position Summary
The Structures group seeks a qualified Composites Focus Area Lead to propose and lead programs in the areas of novel composite structural materials and novel composite structural components. In this role you will devise technical solutions to meet opportunities in the composites field, and advance those solutions from low TRL through commercialization, working closely with customers, partners and other stakeholders. You will collaborate both within the Structures group and across Triton Systems' technical disciplines to solve complex problems.
The candidate must have strong understanding of composite design principles including: reinforcement and matrix selection; laminate mechanical properties; and manufacturing process development and advanced aerospace composites. The candidate will exhibit strong understanding of composites analysis principles, including stress analysis; NDI/NDE and destructive testing; as well as failure analysis. In addition we would be looking for experience with composite fabrication in at least one of the following: laminated prepreg structures; infused structures (VARTM,HPRTM,RFI); filament winding; ATL/AFP; thermoplastic molding; or high temperature composites (PI,BMI,C-C,CMC,C/SiC). Also, experience with composites development programs, and having created or modified materials and/or processes to improve performance or expand capability would be important.
Qualifications
Design, fabricate, and test fiber-reinforced composite materials to meet application requirements
Read and interpret drawings to optimize mold and component designs
Lead in the testing and evaluation of materials
Experience in advanced manufacturing techniques such as thermal forming, & fiber winding
Perform failure analysis
Review design plans for objectives such as strength, weight, and cost.
Develop and execute a design-of-experiments
Interface with outside test facilities and materials vendors
Author technical reports and procedures.
Function autonomously in a fast-paced materials fabrication environment.
Education/ Experience
MS or BS in Materials, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
7-10 years of experience in composite design; fabrication; testing and analysis; composites research and/or product development
Proficiency in solid modeling and FEA (SolidWorks, NASTRAN or equivalent).
Standard analytical computer skills, Efficiency in Windows operating environment, Office Suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet Browser is required.

As an Analog Design Engineer Intern at ADI, you will have the opportunity to work alongside senior engineers in the design and development of analog and mixed-signal ICs. Job Duties and Responsibilities
This role requires wide skill in the PCB industry. PCB layout and extensive knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and how to address problems as they arise with FAB and assembly houses.
Ideal candidate will be proficient with Allegro, PADS experience a plus. ADEF is moving to Allegro in the next several months as the primary CAD tool.
Work with a wide variety of engineering disciplines to layout complex hi frequency PCB.
Conduct peer and design reviews for PCB designs completed within the group as a participant.
Participate in a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.
Design dense and complex PCBs with a wide variety of component types, emphasis on RF signal requirements, and board fabrication technologies.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years' experience preferred.
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent desired
PCB design skills including RF and mixed signal/material/technology
PCB fabrication process knowledge
Working knowledge of IPC standards
Requires strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in fasted paced team environment.
