Triumph company history timeline

1999

Triumph bought a maker of oversized aircraft components in May 1999.

Ill projected reaching the $500 million mark by 1999.

2000

2000: The company relaunches the Bonneville and approaches the break-even mark.

2002

In February 2002, as the company was preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary as a motorcycle maker, its main factory was hit by fire, which destroyed most of its manufacturing capacity.

A large fire caused extensive damage at the Hinckley assembly plant in 2002, but the factory was rebuilt in just a few months.

2003

The plant is capable of producing up to 50,000 units per year; a second plant has been in the works and is expected to open in 2003.

2004

In 2004 Triumph shocks the motorcycling world with the world's largest production motorcycle, the Rocket III. Like the BSA Rocket 3, 35 years earlier, it features a three cylinder motor.

2004 Founded by private investors with distinguished credentials in transportation and commercial finance industries.

2005

2005 Introduced document imaging and electronic invoice processing to expanded market segments.

2006

2006 Developed proprietary risk management program that matches factoring servicing protocols to individual client requirements.

2007

Led by the perennial favorites, the Speedmaster and America cruisers, as well as the iconic Bonneville and award-winning Daytona 675 sportsbike, Triumph is the best selling brand of motorcycle in Australia according to 2007 sales figures released by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.

2007 Introduced real-time credit portal – OnlineBrokerCredit.com.

2010

Assets $235.6 million Branches 2 total Team 30 members At the end of 2010, Triumph acquired EJ Financial and its banking subsidiary, Equity Bank.

Triumph releases their latest incarnation of the Thunderbird (as a 2010 model), a 1600 CC parallel twin cruiser.

2010 Established strategic partnerships with nation’s leading providers of freight matching services, fuel card services, document imaging and workflow solutions.

2011

Assets $252.5 million Branches 2 total Team 32 members After a very successful year, Triumph spent the next twelve months of 2011 planning for the future and cleaning up their assets to prepare for the next decade of rapid growth.

2013

Triumph has partnered with Living Water since 2013 and has deployed 12 team members on a total of 8 short term trips to El Salvador.

2014

2014 Expanded factoring services to staffing, oil and gas, government contractors, manufacturing and distribution and other service industries.

2015

2015 Launched MyTriumph.com, an industry-leading portal built for customers to see/view their accounts and payment status — with complete transparency.

2016

Assets $2.6 billion Branches 37 total Team 730 members 2016 brought on even more growth with new acquisitions — ColoEast Bankshares, Inc. and its community banking subsidiary, Colorado East Bank & Trust and Southern Transportation Insurance Agency.

2017

Assets $3.5 billion Branches 51 total Team 855 members In 2017, our TBK Bank branch footprint grew even bigger with the acquisition of Valley Bank & Trust and 9 branches from Independent Bank.

2017 Launched TriumphPay.com, a payment processing tool that delivers value to every link of the supply chain: brokers, carriers and factors.

2018

2019

Assets $5.1 billion Branches 61 total Team 1107 members The year 2019 was a difficult one in many respects, but a successful one in others.

Triumph launched the game-changing multi-award winning Street Triple range with an all new 765cc engine, and announced a new partnership with Dorna to exclusively supply a race-tuned engine based on the 765cc engine for the Moto2™ World Championship from the 2019 season onwards.
