About the role As a Preconstruction Manager, you will oversee the planning, estimating, and coordination of construction projects before actual building begins. You will ensure projects are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with client goals. You are the bridge between design and construction, ensuring projects are well-planned, financially viable, and ready for execution. This role is critical in reducing risks, aligning stakeholders, and setting the foundation for successful project delivery. What your day-to-day will look like * Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to evaluate feasibility and regulatory requirements. * Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and preliminary schedules. * Draft scopes of work, review drawings/specifications, and create project scope documents. * Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with trade partners. * Identify potential risks and opportunities early in the project lifecycle. * Serve as the liaison between owners, sales teams, and construction teams to align expectations. * Develop preliminary project timelines and ensure deliverables are met. * Conduct site visits to assess conditions and requirements before construction begins. * Attend pre-bid and job site meetings. * Manage tracking and reporting real time cost data, tracking actual cost schedules relative to bid proposals as the project develops. * Conduct review and take-off of blueprints. * Lead/collaborate with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes and building methods. * Participate in Value Engineering exercises in the best interest of the client. * Prepare milestone schedules for project pursuits * Provide site logistic plans for use by the Operations team. * Provide constructability reviews and suggestions to operation and design teams. What we're looking for * Bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering or architectural degree. * Experience requirements: * Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction. * Minimum 5 years of engineering, project management, construction management, or experience with computerized take-off applications (i.e., OST). * Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating in all divisions. * Ability to guide teams through preconstruction phases and ensure alignment with project goals. * Familiarity with estimating software, scheduling tools, and project management systems. * Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and methods. * Clear, professional interaction with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. * Ability to evaluate feasibility, budgets, and risks. About the role As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining the cost structure of upcoming construction projects. About the role As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining the cost structure of upcoming construction projects. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can develop accurate estimates based on plans and specifications while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project's financial success. What your day-to-day will look like • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new clients. • Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the project. • Manage multiple project pursuits simultaneously by multi-tasking and prioritizing. • Analyze subcontractor proposals to ensure completeness of scope of work. • Work with clients during programming and design phases to provide budgets. • Track and report real time cost data tracking actual cost schedules relative to bid proposals as the project develops. • Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand the project scope. • Conduct review and take-off of blueprints. • Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials. • Collaborate with the client to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes and building methods. What we're looking for • Bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering or architectural degree. • Minimum of 3 years' estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction. • Engineering, project management, construction management, or experience with computerized take-off applications (i.e., OST). • Must possess a working knowledge of commercial construction documentation, methods, materials, codes, and pricing. Ability to read plans and specifications and translate them into estimates. • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. About the role Our Carpenters build for commercial customers in the Greater Cincinnati Area, with a focus on offices, hospitals, retail, and industrial spaces. We are a commercial metal stud framing and drywall contractor. What your day-to-day will look like * Working in a team environment. * Reading and following blueprints and plans to construct building framework, such as walls, floors, and ceilings. * Erecting, leveling, and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes. * Installing structures and fixtures, such as doors. * Measuring, cutting, and shaping metal, drywall, wood, and plastic. * Safely using hand tools and other equipment. About the role Our Project Engineers assist in the overall administrative and technical direction of the construction projects and work closely with the Operations team to coordinate materials, orders, reports, estimates, and other project related duties.
