Key Responsibilities & Duties: * Transport Athletes: * Operate a 57-passenger bus for short and long trips, safely navigating varied routes across diverse terrains and geographic areas. * Ensure the safety and comfort of athletes, coaches, and staff by adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Assist students and coaches with sports gear and luggage, ensuring all items are securely loaded and unloaded. * Route Management & Communication: * Review and confirm route assignments and schedules with Coaches and Athletic Administration before each departure. * Report any accidents, traffic disruptions, or delays to the administration promptly. * Account for all coaches, players, and staff before departing any location. * Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Checks: * Conduct pre-trip inspections to check bus tires, lights, and other essential systems to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. * Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Director of Athletics. * Compliance & Ethics: * Follow all state and federal transit regulations to ensure legal and safe operation of the bus. * Perform all duties in a manner that aligns with the College's vision, standards, and ethical guidelines. * Miscellaneous Duties: * Advise the Director of Athletics on bus cleaning and maintenance needs. * Ensure the bus is refueled and cleaned at NDDOT locations as required. * Turn in accurate travel logs to Athletic Administration after each trip. Minimum Requirements * High School Diploma * Ability to move and lift 50 + pounds * Minimum 1-year CDL passenger driving experience * Good driving record * Able to pass criminal and DMV checks upon hire.
