Perform routine inspection of vehicle and merchandise to ensure road safety.
Operating a flat bed truck or van delivering tools and other construction supplies to customers.
Plan route to and from customers businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction.
Warehouse activities to handle deliveries and support the warehouse team. This includes pulling orders for the next day.
Safely transport merchandise to customers in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer.
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with management, co-workers and/or customers to resolve any delivery issues.
Assist the warehouse team in between deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS
One or more years of experience in a similar role
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Experience in the construction or industrial supply industry is helpful
Quick learner and able to retain knowledge
Basic Computer skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds of customer product regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Forklift experience preferred but not required
Diligent attention to safety and detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
