Responsibilities
As a Transport Driver you will drive a tanker truck (11,400 gallon capacity) to pick up propane at the supply point (e.g. refinery, pipeline terminal, storage facility) and deliver it to area AmeriGas facilities. The driver will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours per day. Approximately 80 percent of the driver's time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.
Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker
Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. The hoses stored on the truck come in two sizes: 20 feet long, three inches in diameter; and 19 feet long, 1½ inches in diameter
Perform twice-daily truck inspections
May climb ladders at some AmeriGas facilities to check gauges at the top of the bulk tanks.
Requirements
3 Years' tractor and trailer experience with a minimum of 200,000 miles
1 year of tanker experience within the last 3 years, preferred
Hazmat and tanker endorsements
Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
No accidents in the previous 3 years

What you'll be working on:Supports Savers vision by operating a truck and driving for a route collection program. Drivers are responsible for completing daily residential collection routes. Daily functions include truck inspections, mapping, picking up and moving large and odd shaped items weighing up to 70 pounds. In addition, this role will require accurate record keeping of route data, driver's log and truck maintenance records. 2-3 years' experience driving a 16'-18' box truck preferred. 3-5 years clean driving record. Ability to consistently/daily lift up to 70lbs. Ability to push or pull pallet jack. Essential Job Functions:
Safely maneuver and operate a 16'-18' box truck through residential streets and tights spaces
Complete daily residential routes picking up clothing, small furniture and other household items
Understand local streets and complete routes and any other assigned stops efficiently
Understand how to use and follow GPS directions
Complete all required daily paperwork including vehicle inspection, delivery reports and maintenance Forms
Assist other drivers with workload when needed

Position Summary
Drives up to a 20-ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to deliver to customers on scheduled route. Home daily!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order.
Safely delivers hard goods orders and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers; returns empty cylinders to the plant for refilling.
Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
Establishes and maintains good customer relations by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.
Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper hard good and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
Complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
Maintains appropriate driver's licenses and endorsements.
Maintains neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
