SUMMARY
This position requires a professional transport (truck) driver to drive an IMSA transporter (with trailer) to and from events and/or fly to and from events. In addition to professional truck driving duties, this position is also responsible for set-up and teardown of equipment utilized throughout the event week/weekend as well as maintaining all equipment in a functional and professional appearing manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drive transporter, often on an interstate basis, for all required events. Must be able to drive to events as prescribed while maintaining all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements necessary to operate a transporter (i.e., Commercial Driver's License, testing, drive time regulations, etc.).
Truck and trailer loading and unloading; setting up and breaking down of awnings, tech equipment and any equipment as needed.
Truck and trailer scheduling and minor maintenance.
Work to support all weekend officials by maintaining equipment and supplies; staff any IMSA trailers as needed.
Responsible for equipment maintenance and care including cleaning, restocking and upkeep.
Prepare truck logs, complete timecards, and fuel reports after all trips.
After performing set-up duties at the race event, will also be asked to perform other tasks to help augment other staffing needs around other departments.
Required to operate forklifts and supporting equipment.
Periodically work at the IMSA transportation hub on off-event days.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Approximate travel required: 80% including weekends.

What shift will I work?
With most deliveries starting in the early AM you will either be driving to your first stop the night before and taking a 10 hour break or driving in the early morning to make on time delivery. From there you will deliver throughout the day to multiple stores. Requires some night driving

As part of the dedicated team, you'll run DRY, TOUCH freight to various locations in FL, GA, AL, MS and LA - all within 500 miles of the Marianna FL distribution center. 100% of freight will be live unloaded at stores. This is 100% hand unload touch freight.

Job Purpose

Tasks
Supports company operations by focusing on customer service and safety. Reports directly to the Field Supervisor. Refer to Organizational Chart.
Acts as the "boots on the ground" image of the company. Remembers the customer is always watching. We are a customer service company first, then a garbage collection company
Works closely with other drivers and the Field Supervisor to provide support when needed on other routes in order to successfully meet customer expectations and timely route completion
Inspects the truck prior to beginning the daily routes to ensure safe operating conditions. Signs off on the daily check and provides to the Mechanics
Refuels the truck before the route begins and as needed throughout the day.
Timely reports any truck issues to the Mechanic and route/customer issues to the Field Supervisor and Customer Service Supervisor as appropriate. Immediately reports accidents (company property, customer property or bodily injury) to the Director of Operations.
Follows all safety protocol while completing route.
Drives trucks following all rules of the road and route safety along established routes (in order as per route sheet) and to disposal sites
Operates compressing equipment safely and per protocol. Safely disposes of garbage at designated transfer stations.
Updates customer account data after each stop on the provided tablet.
When a jumper is not available, operates truck in addition to tipping the carts.
Keeps informed of road and weather conditions; works with Field Supervisor to determine how routes will be affected. Maintains flexibility.
Other duties as reasonably expected in the waste industry as assigned by manager.
