Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Truck Driver Class A route driver. As a Class A Route Driver, you will be going out to main stores to pick up their used tires. You will be going out with a Route Helper, a team of 2. Both of you are responsible for manually loading and stacking these used tires onto the back of the trucks. Each tire can weigh up to 50 lbs. at our Johnston, SC. facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to dispatch through the completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
Upholding a high standard of customer service.
Ensuring the load is correctly placed and secure.
Understand safe lifting techniques to load tires of all sizes (passenger vehicle, and truck tires).
Lace passenger tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize load.
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Maintain documents per DOT guidelines, ELD compliant.
Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings.

Heavy Truck Driver (2025-24234): Bowhead is seeking a Lead Heavy truck driver to lead a convoy of buses to and from their prospected training areasto support the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort Jackson, SC. **Responsibilities** + Leads a convoy of buses to and from their prospected training areas communicate by radio to base command for instructions and rout deviations, gives safety briefs, communicates with the senior drill sergeants when loading the buses, and verifies destination routs on the trams sheet and mediate problems to ensure transport of the trainees are completed.
+ Drives motor vehicles ranging in size from sedan to 44 passenger buses on scheduled short trips and transporting personnel from one place to another.
+ Observes established time schedules and follows prescribed routes and established speed limits.

**Qualifications**
-Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsements and other endorsement that will allow the operation of buses exceeding 26,000 pounds (gross vehicle weight) and the operation of liquid transporters with a capacity of 1,000 gallons or more.
- High school Diploma or GED required
- At least two (2+) years of experience driving with a CDL preferred
- A familiarity with the military is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
+ Frequently lifts items weighing up to 30 pounds independently and occasionally lifts up to 65 pounds with assistance
+ Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged amounts of time
+ Uses arms, hands, and fingers for pulling and positioning materials, sewing, and using tools such as shears
+ The operator is required to work outside and is occasionally exposed to all weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicle. Drives in all types of traffic and weather and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. The operator is subject to cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or when loading and unloading vehicles.

The Transportation Specialist shall transport the Members/Riders to and from Elite's Day Centers or riders to medical appointments in a safe and lawful manner on a daily basis. It is the responsibility of the Transportation Specialist to perform a daily check for signs of wear or potential maintenance issues on its company vehicles and report these per company policy.
