ROLE SUMMARY: The Driver position acts is responsible for the transferring of raw materials and finished products between the various Cutwater warehouses. They are responsible for the monitoring and recordkeeping of all transfer/delivery vehicles per DOT standards. This position works under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be a contributing member of a process driven team.
Drive commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer combinations to transfer raw materials and finished products between warehouse locations.
Transfer flammable materials/hazmat between warehouses as needed.
Complete and submit all required paperwork, documenting the transfer of items.
Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner.
Manually load and unload product from end loader truck.
Provide support to greater Operations Team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Valid California Commercial Driver's License required
Federal DOT Hazardous materials endorsement required
One (1) year or more of logistics/warehouse experience (preferred)

Responsible for the safe operation of all VVCH vehicles both on and off property for guests and Team Members. Team Member will work under general supervision. This position relies on limited experience, instructions, pre-established guidelines, and good judgment to perform the functions of the job.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
All team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel's Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision Statements as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
Assists guests promptly and courteously with transportation services.
Drives conservatively answering general questions about the company and the local community.
Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
Conducts routine safety inspections of company owned vehicles before and after every trip, communicating any mechanical difficulties, problems, or maintenance needs to management.
Inspects vehicles prior to occupancy, verifying that everything is clean, well-stocked and in good working order.
Maintains written records of all trips, number of passengers, departure and arrival times, and destinations. Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Maintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of valet experience or in a related field.
Must possess a valid commercial license from the State and a good driving record and be able to obtain a California Commercial License with a passenger endorsement within 90 days.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to speak and understand the English language.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies and procedure manuals written in the English language.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form referring to established guidelines and policies and procedures.

Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing and a drug screening test.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, risk of radiation from computers, and fumes or airborne particles.
The Team Member is usually subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The Team Member is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
