If you live within our hiring area, you could be the perfect dedicated driver to add to our team! Some of the best parts of being a dedicated driver are getting home for a 34 hour reset each week, and driving an average of 1500 miles per week.
In addition to mileage pay, you'll earn $250 to unload the trailers. As a bonus, you will receive $125 weekly, for the required three unloads. That's around $1,725 per week every week and up to $126,000 annually.!
As part of the dedicated team, you'll run freight to various stores and hand unloading the trailer.
A trailer can have anywhere between 1 -6 stops. Our delivery area includes VA, NC, DC, PA, NJ, OH, and WV - all within 700 miles of the Front Royal, VA distribution center. 100% of freight will be live unloaded at stores.
To give you the best possible driving experience, the distribution center includes on-site staff and customer personnel. As well as 24/7 fleet coverage.
Runs will include nights, weekends, and holidays that fall within your workweek. We require a min of 3 loads a week.
But being a dedicated driver is no easy task. So, the way we see it, you deserve vacation time more than anyone. That's why after a year on the account, you can take a week of paid vacation. After 2 years, you can take 2 weeks of vacation.
And after 7 years, 3 weeks.
If you choose to join the team, you'll go through a short orientation to help get you started on the right foot. And you'll get paid to do it. You'll attend at least 2 full shadow runs, to learn the unload process. This pays $150 per day.

Visually assess placement and securement of equipment, to ensure secured load, for safe transport.
Perform pre/post-shift safety checks through visual inspection of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel indicators, as well as visual check for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation.
Ability to visually and physically inspect the mechanical, safety and operational components, for operating defects; including completion of Pre/Post trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Report(s).
During Operation, visually interpret vehicle indicator(s) for fluid levels including oil, water and fuel.
Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired
Verbally communicate, with Dispatch and/or Supervisor, on frequent basis.
Interpret and Follow Dispatched Routing/Map(s), for pick up and/or delivery of equipment.
Responsible for notifying supervisor, immediately, if vehicle is in need of repair(s).
Able to work day or night shifts as required
Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts

Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Lowboy - Truck Driver to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Frequent sitting and driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle; using hands, arms and legs/feet to safely maneuver and control the vehicle using a steering wheel, turn signal, horn, foot pedals and other operational controls.
Periodic standing and walking on typically hard, level surfaces, to conduct visual assessments of secured equipment, including drop off areas and general vehicle walk-around inspections.
Stepping up/down, approx. 2', using access step(s) and three points of contact to access/egress to/from the vehicle cab and trailer, periodically throughout the day.
Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Frequent ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., moving equipment, backing alarms, or other alarms, instructions/directions from supervisor and/or spotter).
Periodic lifting/pushing/pulling of up to 25 lbs weight; including manual dexterity to handle securement chains, straps and tie downs.
Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Dump Truck Driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.

In this position, you would be responsible for safely delivering grocery and perishable product to company stores as scheduled and for safely transporting backhauls to distribution centers.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely operate tractor trailer while maintaining the company's driving performance standards.
