This position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of repair and maintenance services for a fleet of heavy-duty tractor-trailers at our Verona, KY plant. The plant is conveniently located near Cincinnati, OH and Florence, KY. We offer competitive compensation and benefits in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: At least 2 years of mechanic experience required. Working in an environment subject to DOT regulations is a plus.Certifications: Must possess the proper certifications or work history for performing mechanical and electrical work on over-the-road tractors and trailers.Licenses: Valid Driver's License required. Class A CDL preferred (must be willing to obtain within six months of employment). Skills: Basic reading and math skills as well as effective communication skills required. Basic computer skills with operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software also required. Aluminum MIG welding skills preferred.Abilities: Ability to assess equipment failure causes and lead troubleshooting discussions. Physical ability to safely climb ladders/steps, work in elevated areas, reach, lift and carry heavy objects, stand, walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, speak, hear, use hands, arms, and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. Perform various mechanical repairs on buildings and equipment including but not limited to power tools, pumps, doors, blowers, etc.

Maintain accurate and precise records of repair orders on equipment and work areas.

Periodically perform on-call services outside of normal business hours as needed at various locations in and away from the plant. Must respond to callouts within a reasonable period as defined by management.

Drop and hook equipment daily utilizing fleet equipment.

Perform and document DOT inspections of equipment and work areas.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing regular housekeeping duties in assigned areas; conduct and document safety and housekeeping audits.

Assist team with maintaining an up-to-date working parts inventory system for equipment.

Work and coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, crew leaders, and other employees to strive for continuous improvements in safety and operational efficiency.

May be required to participate in training coworkers.

Our Clarke Vehicare team is currently looking for Senior Level Truck Mechanic - Diesel Technicians to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, Technicians will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

What are the duties?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all types of brake, steering & suspension, electrical, A/C, & engine repairs
Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW
Assist other technicians when needed
Must be able to work independently
PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Preferred- One year certificate from college or technical school, with minimum 3-5 years related repair experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
