Job Description Reporting to the College President, the VPSS is the college's Chief Student Services Officer and is a member of the President's executive leadership team. The VPSS works collaboratively with the members of the executive leadership team in the leadership, planning, policy and budget development, and management for a comprehensive Student Services program. ROLE of the POSITION
The Graduate Admission Counselor, reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment in the Office of Admissions, maintains a high level of internal and external public contact serving as a liaison between the Office of Admissions, various academic units, and other organizations within the University. The Graduate Admission Counselor is responsible for outreach efforts in recruiting of prospective graduate students to the University. Outreach efforts include conducting admission presentations; setting up workshops for prospective students and families on navigating through the graduate application and admission process; participate in recruitment events to provide admission assistance/guidance; bringing prospective students and their families to the campus; making calls to prospects and inquiries for admission counseling; and proactively communicating with admitted students to ensure the students will be matriculating. Additionally, incumbent will make preliminary determinations regarding eligibility for admissions based on knowledge and experience of records, transcripts, NSHE policies and official documents in making evaluations against the appropriate criterion; and recommending educational goals and admission requirements to potential students.
To reach their audience, Admission Counselors are responsible for planning and managing recruitment activities in assigned regions. The counselors assume responsibility for implementing a marketing plan to attract the demographic in their target areas set by the Director of Recruitment. Counselors stay abreast of changes that occur in their target populations and identify potential barriers to recruiting and admitting new students. They take independent initiative to act in response to such barriers when possible and recommend action to the Assistant Director when larger barriers arrive.
This position is also responsible for providing leadership in carrying out special initiatives as assigned by Director or Assistant Director of Recruitment. The Graduate Admission Counselor will be expected to travel both in and out of state and work irregular hours and weekends.

ROLE of the POSITION
The Department of Brain Health in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track) faculty member focused on neurodegenerative disease. The ideal candidate will perform leading edge research with clinical Alzheimer's disease populations. This position will work in collaboration with faculty in the Kerkorian School of Medicine, faculty in the Department of Brain Health, and with the Global Alzheimer's Platform (GAP) supersite in Las Vegas. Additional opportunities for collaboration in the Department of Brain Health include state of the art Biobanking and Biomarker Discovery capabilities as well as health disparities research to foster collaborative opportunities for the successful applicant. The position includes the opportunity in mentoring, advising and supervising graduate students in the UNLV Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ROLE of the POSITION
University Police Department (UPD) is conducting a continuous recruitment for current and future openings for Retired Public Safety Dispatcher I. Positions may be assigned to any campus to include the College of Southern Nevada, Desert Research Institute, Nevada State College, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
UPD Public Safety Dispatchers serve as the gateway to and for emergency personnel for all NSHE Campuses in Clark County and coordinate responses with police, fire, medical and other emergency agencies. The public safety dispatcher is the centralized point of contact to gather information and direct emergency response agencies within the jurisdiction of UPD. Under general supervision, the public safety dispatcher receives, evaluates, prioritizes and dispatches public safety calls for service and responds to emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely and appropriate manner. UPD public safety dispatchers operate a variety of communications equipment including radio, telephone, telephony, TDD and multiple computer systems and relays data into the computer aided dispatch (CAD) program. Public safety dispatchers access and correlate information from the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) database as well as the Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) to provide criminal history information for wanted persons or items, along with other sensitive information necessary for the Police Department to perform their daily activities for the University and College community. The public safety dispatcher monitors all fire and burglar alarms to all buildings and offices on campus. The public safety dispatcher accesses the closed circuit television (CCTV) or security video cameras on campus. The dispatch center is operated 24/7, 365 days a year for routine and emergency calls for service. They also handle all after hours maintenance calls and contacts for the University.
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
The department is a full-service police department comprised of patrol operations, administration, police dispatch and a detective division. Services include a canine program, walking and bicycle patrols, and a pro-active, selective traffic enforcement program and takes a leadership role in preparing the University to respond to large-scale crises and events. The patrol area for UPD encompasses all Nevada System of Higher Education facilities in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. University Police Department, Southern Command, is a full service category I law enforcement agency that serves the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the College of Southern Nevada, the Desert Research Institute and Nevada State College. The department consists of 120 employees and has responsibility for the public safety needs of 80,000 students, faculty and staff over an 800 square mile service area. The Associate Director / Senior Associate Director serves as a point of contact for RSO advisors and works with a staff team to provide training and resources for RSO's, implement annual programmatic initiatives, and to broadly promote the value of involvement.
Fraternity and Sorority life responsibilities include leadership for a system that includes Fraternity Association, Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic and Multicultural Greek chapters and emphasizes community development values, high scholastic performance, leadership development, campus involvement, organizational management and fiscal integrity, commitment to and participation in appropriate governing bodies, interpersonal and group development, individual and group responsibility, community service and philanthropy, and university loyalty. In collaboration with University stakeholders, Inter/national Organizations, chapter advisors, Governing Councils, and chapter leadership the Associate Director works to manage the risks associated with Greek organizations and hold students accountable to fraternal values and University policies.
The Associate Director / Senior Associate Director supervises two Coordinators for Involvement and Student Organizations and two Coordinators for Fraternity and Sorority Life and indirectly supervises multiple teams of student staff. In conjunction with the Executive Director, the Associate Director / Senior Associate Director provides direction for the entire Student Involvement and Activities office including setting strategic goals, assessing outcomes, evaluating aggregated data, and allocating the budget.
The Senior Associate Director has an enhanced role in establishing partnerships with academic units in support of student co-curricular engagement, managing and analyzing assessment data in support of University Top Tier Strategic Plan, and chairing major university-wide initiatives.
Through the intentional use of student development theory and leadership models this position works to enhance a growing sense of community by fostering students' awareness and appreciation for involvement in co-curricular activities and experiences focused on personal growth and development. Ability to work evenings and weekends required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The Associate Director position requires a master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education. Accreditation (CHEA) and minimum six years of experience post-masters full-time experience; three years' experience in direct supervision of staff, and experience working directly with student organizations and fraternities and sororities required.
Experience with budget management, risk management, and student leadership and training are required. In addition, the Senior Associate Director position requires a minimum of eight years post-masters full-time experience and two years post-masters experience in direct supervision of full-time staff. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

ROLE of the POSITION
The Student Financial Success Specialist is primarily responsible for all interactions with students and their family members. Managing outreach and engagement, educating them on their financial responsibilities and the procedures with which UNLV/NSHE sets forth governing tuition and fee charges and payments. Under the supervision of the Cashiering and Student Accounts Manager, this position will be responsible for reviewing students' accounts, managing all inquiries, maintaining communication with students falling behind on their financial responsibilities, monitoring bankruptcy claims, recording payments, and processing collections. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, this position will interact with the Campus Relations Team within Academic Affairs, external collection agencies, and the General Counsel's office, providing the support needed to ensure students' needs are addressed.
This position will also maintain responsibility for ensuring the university remains complaint with all regulations around charges applied to accounts and the guidelines with which the university must remain in to collect by researching regulatory changes and interpreting complex compliance frameworks --including NSHE/UNLV policies, FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Regulation F, and Department of Education guidelines.
Duties include:
* Responsible for monitoring students' accounts, proactively engaging with at-risk students falling behind on payments.
* Educating students on university deadlines and policies regarding balances.
* Attempting to resolve past due balances via payments or enrolling in payment plans.
* Research, reconcile, and resolve any student account balance issues identified.
* Maintain or establish communication with students regarding past due balances, including working with collection agencies.
* Process past due accounts with collections agencies or the District Attorney's office that have been deemed uncollectable.
* Monitor Bankruptcy Claims and work with General Counsel to resolve the students' accounts.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all cashiering and student account inquiries.
* Act as Primary Liaison with the Campus Relations Team in Academic Affairs, helping students get their questions answered by the right individual.
* Answer phones, emails, and chat questions that students and families have, following all FERPA guidelines and Board policy.
* Maintain awareness and understanding of UNLV and NSHE policies around tuition and fee-related policies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 to 3 years of experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

ROLE of the POSITION
Reporting to the Associate Director of Facilities & Operations, the Event Operations Manager oversees all internal event-related operations for events held within Student Union & Event Services (SUES) managed and operated facilities as contracted between SUES and clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

ROLE of the POSITION
This position works under the general direction of the assistant director for GEAR UP and is responsible for managing the activities conducted within the GEAR UP schools. This includes a number of activities aimed at comprehensive counseling, instruction, and mentoring of participants within any assigned school and coordinating activities to enhance and increase the participation of parents and students. Moreover, this position will coordinate various parental involvement activities, tutoring sessions, and after school programs. The coordinator will assist the assistant director in collecting student and parent information, as well as evaluation and assessment of students' performances. The coordinator will assist the director and the assistant director in ensuring that the coordination of activities with other CAEO projects, as well as with other related Federal and non-Federal programs is maximized. The coordinator will facilitate a positive working relationship with the school district and school personnel. This position remains current in applicable TRIO and GEAR UP trends, regulations, methods and philosophies. This position supports both academic and administrative functions within the Center. Primary duties of this position include exercising discretion and independent judgment when coordinating various aspects of the GEAR UP Program within high schools and middle schools and advising The Center's participants. This position is exempt from overtime.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 2 years of professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. Candidate must be able to drive and maintain a valid Nevada driver license. Job Description
The CBESS Grant at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Spanish-English bilingual Graduate Assistant for the spring 2026 semester (through 1/30/28). Student will be working 10-20 hours a week (dependent on contract) on a STEM project titled Community of Bilingual English Spanish Speakers- Exploring issues in Science and Health (CBESS) funded by The National Institutes of Health (NIH). This Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) aims to increase the number of linguistically diverse Northern Nevada K-12 high school students pursuing careers in STEM-healthcare contexts.
A highly motivated graduate student will assist with contacting CBESS students and their parents via email, telephone, and/or text to engage in interviews about the CBESS program, along with conducting school visits with the program coordinator to recruit participants. The individual will support the coordinator in updating recruitment materials, participant data tracking, and program implementation of events. As appropriate, the individual will complete ethical research training and help conduct semi-structured interviews with parents of CBESS students whose preferred language is Spanish and translate research instruments and data between Spanish and English. This position will be housed in the Latino Research Center and is a partnership between the center and the School of Medicine. On occasion, the GA may be asked to conduct some work-related activities (i.e., contacting students and parents, hosting events) in the evening and on weekends from home.

Job Description
The Great Basin College Learning Commons is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to serve as a Part-Time Proctor. This position plays a key role in supporting academic integrity by overseeing testing sessions for students across the GBC service area. In addition to in-person exam proctoring, the candidate must be willing to proctor on-site at the Elko campus using Zoom.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor a variety of exams, including placement tests, makeup exams, third-party certifications, and other institutional assessments.
Proctor exams in person at the Elko campus and virtually via Zoom for students across GBC's statewide service area.
Ensure the integrity of the testing environment by following established guidelines and procedures.
Verify student identities, explain exam rules, and ensure proper test accommodations are provided.
Set up and troubleshoot technical issues related to Zoom, webcams, screen sharing, and testing platforms and offer solutions for issues and provide direction to other sources if problems arise.
Maintain accurate records and incident reports related to test administration.
Participate in training and periodic updates regarding testing procedures, technology, and compliance requirements.
